2020 Primaries

They didn't back FDR. Why would they back Bernie?

They didn't back FDR cause the Rs back then had to run to the center left to even have a shot at winning.

Now the Republican Party has gone through Goldwater then Reagan and now Trump.

Y'all headed right and just kept trucking it.

I thought Trump was a Democrat.

How about we go back to teaching a trade in highschool. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanics, welding etc. Each student would be required to take and pass the three year course to earn their highschool diploma. If you still wanted to go on to college and earn a business degree so you could get hired at the cell store you could pay your tuition as you go while moonlighting as a plumber. ;)

It seems Mayor Pete had a plan for everything, yet his leadership of a 100,000 person town has been a shltshow.

"Right now there's no way he can stand on the stage and honestly talk about the issues pressing this country when he can't even successfully address the dire issues of race, lack of diversity, and poverty, not to mention the homeless issue in this city," Mario Sims, a pastor in South Bend, said. "If you can't even address those issues in a city of 100,000, my God, how can you address those issues in 50 states?"
There are plenty of people, a lot more actually, that firmly approve of Pete's time as Mayor of South Bend. Look at his approval ratings in South Bend.
One person that disapproves doesn't mean he was a failure. If that was the case, Trump is a failure.
I can post plenty of positive opinions about Pete, but it won't change your mind about him.

Hmm so even though they are terrible, no one gets rid of them.

Hmm now is it more likely you are just consuming propaganda or every other nation is wrong.
The government doesnt give you a choice. How would people get rid of it?
What's the last government program people actually got rid of?

Capping interest rates, zero interest rates, student responsible for 40%-gov 40%-bank writes off 20%.

We were talking about the promise to forgive student loan debt. There are only two options to do that, stick the taxpayers with the bill or the .gov defaults on the loans.

The banks shouldn’t have to write off a penny since these are .gov guaranteed loans.

See the funny thing to me is how much you all scream commie and then you think that the

Tennessee Republican Supermajority Government was too liberal for allowing free education.

Fact of the matter is some of you on this board don't realize that you all are the extremists.

Bernie Dems are really just advocating the party move back to where FDR brought it.

I'm fact 1940s Republican Party would have backed Sanders/Nearly any Dem over Trump and today's extremists on the right.
I bet your eyes are brown.

Lol. Everyone else is the extremist except the one advocating for all their s*** to be free and on someone else’s dime. Lol ok.

Literally you are making my point. People don't get rid of the programs because they need them in the first place.

Why do people vote for single payer? Cause they don't have healthcare that works for them now.

So even if they don't like it, they don't get rid of it. They just edit it to something they do like.

Eliminating it without something in plan to replace it (like Trump tried to do with Obamacare) never works.

That is the way I see it. I don't respond to Luther.

Actually I quite clearly said I'd be in favor of the Medicare for All Premium Tax and increased tax for Education despite the fact I wouldn't benefit in time.

But to clarify yes you are definitely the extremist.

Listening to you and Hog with your "Hospitals should refuse people who can't pay" and "the Republican supemajority gov" was too liberal with the TN Promise.

So if the Den Socialist party elects Mayor Pete, he would be the first president either not allowed outside the US Embassy in most middle East countries or not allowed to take his "family".

Should grocery stores have to give food to starving people who can’t pay?
