Not true at all.

CBJ can easily tell 2016 recruits one or two of the guys are more than likely switching positions.

Personally I would rather just recruit and elite recruit for the position I need. Not just take and elite athlete and switch him to a different position if he doesn't work out at QB...

Why is it hard to understand that if Gibson comes one of the other two may back out, or, in the cases of Jennings and Gibson be moved to another position after they get a fair shot at QB in camp? Dormady is a different style and is all QB. Jennings and Gibson are true DT's with additional skillsets for other positions. If Gibson comes - great. It will work out. They will still need at least one QB in 2016 for the reasons described. QB should be an average of 2 per year.

Gibson is one of the best athletes in the country. You take him every day of the week, multiple times.

Well according to any ranking Gibson is the most elite qb we are in on this year. So that is what we are doing. TG/ QD nor JJ is guaranteed to be a good college qb. Gibson is the most likely.

I think we want 3 high quality QB's in this class if we can get them. Going into 15 there is a real possibility that we will have only one QB on the roster. Whoever loses the job between Peterman and Dobbs in the spring probably leaves. We take 3 and 2 of them will stay at QB. With 2 great athletes at QB one of them can change to a better position.

I would think each kid would at least get a reasonable shot at QB. Just have to look at it where we are today. Here we are mid June and if Fergs had not left, we would still be in a 3 QB race for the job at UT with Worley likely leading. Then consider that the 2015 QBs are just about all off the board. Now say its June 12th 2015. Coaches have had a decent look at the 2 ATHs and maybe they stick, and maybe a move is considered. Your 2016 QB recruiting is screwed to say the least. IMO your not going to get 1. Then in 2017 your back trying to sign 2-3 more to make up for the 2 you moved and not getting one in 2016.

Take 2 in 2015 and UT is set up well to get 1 in 2016. IF Jennings is moved to S after a shot at QB in spring camp, then getting a good 1 in 2016 should be VERY easy. Spread them out and you will have much less turnover.

I don't care either. If CBJ wants him at WR or DB or S then I am all for it. I just hate the conjecture that people bring about he will not/cannot play QB for us. Also with the unproven claims that CBJ is not recruiting him at QB.

Just to be clear. I have never once said you don't take TG. In fact, I have suggested taking TG and carefully explaining to JJ that he has 1 RS year to prove himself at QB or he will be moved...if you even give him a full year.

Will be a tough sell when he is telling recruits that and the recruits see them playing QB in spring camp. Also consider what other schools will be telling them. The negative recruiting angle would be a killer.

I think you're freaking out over nothing, or at least overreacting.

I think you take TG no matter what the rest of the class/numbers look like.

Ya know what's a really good negative recruiting angle against UT?

"UT has sucked for several years now. Look at their schedule; the mediocrity will continue with their lack of depth."

Hasn't changed Butch's ability to recruit much.

I have seen a few of the rivals analysts mention that at camps he has mostly worked at WR. They don't know why, and he hasn't said why.

If Butch can pull Dormady AND Gibson I will be amazed. That would be like signing Manning and Stewart in '94. One of the two would probably transfer eventually. Dormady does have the Labrum issue and that makes him somewhat of a question mark, so getting Gibson would be great insurance. Maybe Butch could use them like Ainge and Schaefer.

But eazy I am confused. The Gibson haters said all he does is throw screens and is very inaccurate. This film must be doctored right? Because in that film it shows a QB who throws the deep ball very well and has a pretty good touch on his passes. Oh and he very fast.
