Maybe he pulls the trigger earlier? I'm sure some of the big fish will wait till NSD and he could start a domino effect like Ole Miss's NSD 2012.

You all seem to want to hang on every word TG says to the media, and laugh at anyone that questions his transparency...Yet none of you want to believe him when he says he is waiting to take all his OVs and until after his senior season to commit.

You all are a trip.

"He said the Vols are back in the lead and by a good margin. He said he loved hanging out with the coaches and really enjoyed spending time on campus and said he is very comfortable at Tennessee now. Im writing up the story and it should be live here in the next bit."

-Fort

"It was great. Everything was just perfect. I'm getting used to the campus now and I probably know my way throughout it," Gibson said. "I had great time spending time with the coaches and the players and being comfortable with them. I had a great time. I had a lot of bar-b-q, too. They have some great bar-b-q."

"It was great. We didn't talk about football. We just played pool and were sitting around chilling and relaxing and talking to coach Jones and coach Bajakian and coach Z and just hanging out," Gibson said. "It was just spending time with the coaches and the players and just playing video games with the guys and playing ping pong and playing pool and just talking to each other and just having fun four those four days."

"I switched it up and Tennessee is definitely the leader right now. They are the leader by a (good) margin right now," Gibson explained. "I feel comfortable with the players now and I met a lot of new faces and a lot of guys and coaches. They are all great people in Knoxville Tennessee and it was awesome."

"It was great not to be pressured all the time and have to worry about committing. It was a great time. I felt relaxed and felt comfortable and I didn't feel rushed at all," Gibson said.

-VQ

Said he didn't talk to the staff about picking up our 2nd QB commit, but he will though. Still plans to play out his recruitment. Take his 5 OVs, play through his season, and then commit after."

Amazing we can still be his leader days after our SECOND QB committed for the class.

Your either all Gibson, or your against Tennessee. I think I have got this thing figured out now. Star gazers UNITE! :p

And doing so after striking out last year. Keep that in mind. He took 2 in 2013, and 2014 they could not get a QB to give them a sniff. Take 3 and you think they will be lining up? Really?

Okay, Leb. I'll play along.

Three QB's this year eliminates that need next year, does it not?

The answer is "yes."

The only people that are all or nothing is you and your two simple minded lackies, Butchna and Volornuttin.

Just about everyone else in this thread wants Gibson, wanted Dormady and wanted Jennings.

Wasn't his initial recruiting class ranked #1 even coming off a losing season. I love Butch but lets take the blinders off.

Saban already had a national championship ring and was the best coach in the SEC when he left for the Dolphins.

Plus, Alabama sells itself even more than UT. That's a top 3 program historically, and some might even say it's THE top program of all time. There's also the fact that Alabama is full of talent and there wasn't much competition at Auburn in terms of recruiting at the time.

On the other hand, Butch Jones came to Tennessee as a nobody to take over a program that was circling the drain and hadn't tasted national relevance since 2001.

He stayed here for 4-5 days and spent all of his time with players and coaches. I think we may be in this far more than you do. He hasn't done anything like that at another school. His interviews from today seem much more personal than any I've read from him. JMO of course.

It could happen, not saying it is impossible.. He has just flipped his top school so many times. People do not need to get there hopes up, I can see it now when he ends up signing somewhere else. Half the people will decide the sky is falling and the other half will be on twitter. Mouthing off to a high school student.

I never laughed at anyone or said anyone was wrong. He will most likely wait till NSD, but there is a posibility he commits earlier. I'm just ecstatic that we had a 5* say we lead! I don't understand why anybody would be upset with that. You're the one lashing out at someone else. I made a simple, optimistic comment saying that Gibson could pull other recruits. Now you are acting like the sky is falling. The future is bright, just relax.

Then in '19 you lost 3 scholarship QBs...the same amount we have total right now. Glad you aren't on UT staff.

It's always smart to spread out you positions across many recruiting class...So we can avoid what happened on OL and DL...all gone.

I'm not going one way or the other on his recruitment, but I disagree with that statement. From what I've seen (and I very well may be wrong), he has only named us the leader prior to switching it to Auburn last week. He has now put us back out in front. That's not much flipping, IYAM.

I would like to officially go on record as listed below.

Gentry- wanted

Gibson-wanted

Dormady- wanted (after LV brought my attention to him)

Jennings- wanted ...on defense.

Now that we have Dormady and Jennings as QBs, that is where is makes things weird with Gibson. If we take 3 qb's there is a real chance of one or more of those transferring, so we would be better off just recruiting for a different position.

I never said anything about anyone being against UT. Just that it is a good thing that he has us leading. Am I star gazing? Yes, I am. I'll admit it. But, you have to see that Gibson has a lot of talent. The concerns about your numbers or Gibson's position are all relevant and I share the concerns. However, I am sure most people would love to add Gibson to our roster, including the coaches.

Did I say that? I didn't say we would be QBless. I just wanted to point out that in one year we would lose the same amount of scholly QBs that we will be playing with this year. It's just not a wise choice. I think we would be better off taking 2 this year and 1 next year...2 next year if need be.

So if they switch, then recruiting another QB won't be difficult in future classes, no?

That would be the biggest issue IMO. By the time they would be moved, the 2016 QBs would be committed elsewhere and off the board. Your looking at 2017 before you get your next QB unless the staff could find a transfer.

Simple minded lackey! How do you make that sound like a compliment when it's obvious it wasn't your intent? :salute:

Side note: This has been an awesome thread...almost wish he wasn't an Auburn lock now. :pardon:

Thats just dirty. These guys are about to turn the heat up on you now. :eek:lol:

Two of the three RS.

They would all leave at different times.

Like I said before, though. It does not matter what they're taken as, as long as they're taken. Figure out what they play later, but get elite athletes on campus.
