I didn't want to start an entire thread about this but also don't wanna get off topic here so sorry if it bothers anyone.

I have an NCAA dynasty with the Vols. Now in 2015 and I created Santos as a recruit and signed him. He is in his Senior year and has recored 316 tackles, 29.5 sacks, 8 FF, 4 FR, 3 INT and 1 Def TD in 3 and a half years. And thats simulating games.

Btw... Vols 5-0 and ranked #1 in 2015 with Santos at MLB and two guys named "Berry" anchoring the safety positions :)

U simulate games?

Ya just have to understand that a lot of the poster's here on VN are more than likely younger than the recruits they are pining about. It's a panty twist crowd that get's over revved about one recruit. 1 kid. Sure we all want Dalton to be a Vol. It's his choice. Dalton has committed to two schools and may very well end up at a 3rd location. I want Dalton here as much as the rest of you guys but he won't make or break this class. With CDD and his staff, this class will make it on their own. Dalton can choose to be part of a so-so Texas team, or he can choose to be part of the soon to be SEC Championship team. It's his choice. Really that simple.

And no, i'm not younger than the recruits that I post about.

So you created him and made him 6' 8" 280 lbs and put 99's on everything? Not that impressive.

There's a lot of reasons the package-deal of Wilcox/Sirmon did not go to Texas last year. Some things were said by Mack Brown that really infuriated Wilcox and Sirmon. Those feelings have not subsided.

This is interesting if you also consider some of what Muschamp has been caught saying behind closed doors about Mack.

If Wilcox and Sirmon are actually still actively pushing this kid to TN then hats off to them. For some reason this also makes me feel better about the overall direction of the program because I doubt they would be pushing him to TN if it was the dumpster fire some like to make it out to be.

On a side note, should the SEC decide to expand to 16, I would love to draw OK and OK St. It would keep the SEC strong and piss off texas at the same time.

Texas wouldn't care. Texas would be fine as an independent or in the Big 10 or Pac 10. I doubt OU would want this move for 2 reasons:

#1 Texas has made it clear to OU that the RRR will end if OU goes to a different conference. That game is very important for OU's recruiting in Texas.

#2 Why would OU want a harder path to a BCS game? They aren't stupid like A&M.

By the way, lots of internet buzz that ACC schools (like FSU, Clemson, BC, Ga Tech & others) are talking about bringing over 5 teams to the Big 12 and enticing ND to be the 16th team in the Big 12.

Exactly what was said has never been mentioned just that Brown was arrogant.

Some top qualtiy information right there......:loco:

Tennessee is closer to winning their conference title than Texas?

"More than anything, I want to thank Mack Brown," Muschamp said. "I'm so grateful for the opportunity he gave me and my family and all of the guidance. He is the best in the business, and I can't say enough about everything he did to help prepare me for this."

Brown sounds TERRIBLE!

We share revenue in the sec.. So a&m will come out way better than giving 50% to Texas

Whatever decision Santos makes, I wish him luck. I have no animosity toward him if he chooses texas. I hope he, as an individual, succeeds. But I hate texas. They think they know what football is, but they have no clue. They produce great high school talent, but the university of texas is nothing more than a neutered bovine playing in a watered down conference that they push around to get their way. The whole longhorn network thing is a joke. If I'm watching football, I want to see real football. If you want to be the best, play the best. I would love to see teams like USC, Oregon, and texas play in the SEC for one season. Just one season would be enough to show why the SEC is THE dominant football conference. Maybe that sounds arrogant on my part, but this is the shark tank and every other conference is nothing more than a guppy bowl. SEC teams beat the hell out of each other. No other conference can legitimately make that claim.

Sorry, rant over.

Ahh, truth is truth not arrogance!
texas won their NC cause they played uscw not a SEC team. uscw won theirs against nonSEC teams... :)

I could live with this... Okay make it happen! Hehe

TexasFan, you know you've done a good job when all they have to come back with is "haha ur dumb"

:p

support from a fellow genius has to be helpful.

And let me be clear, your having been called an idiot on here likely has something to do with your inability to reason rather than your having raised any dander.

TIFWIW, Kippy Brown is starting to recruit Santos to UT as well because he thinks his cousin, Mack, is a jerk. I'm feeling better about this everyday.

Not at all, it's actually fairly ironic he made his name in sarcasm (at least I hope so on his behalf) and with the great irony being that he encompasses every aspect of it without a hint of sarcasm. Then again you yourself exhibit a sad state.

It is beyond my intellect why you or him spend so much time on another team's boards. I do know that your team boards are deficient for reasons other than their home team, however it's getting to the point of being just an apparently sad obsession.

SomethingTexasFansomething, you know how you can try and convince people you don't care that a bunch of teams left your conference? Don't try so hard to convince us, it just makes you seem ever more desperate.

This bolded point after stating that the Big 12 is now a deeper conference than the SEC? Pure gold...

I said what he has said behind closed doors, and you post a link to an ESPN story? I don't think that fits the qualification of "behind closed doors."

So, to explain-it had been reported that Muschamp was not happy about the direction of Texas, did not think Mack would hold on for so long, and even said that had he known that would have accepted the TN job when offerred it after Kiffin left. Also had serious issues with the S&C program. And now of course Mack wants to hold on longer like a sad old man who is only working on ruining his legacy at this point. His only true success came due to Vince Young and an offensive system that called for Vince to essentially just run around and make plays (and Mack has admitted this saying Young improved when they basically stopped trying to get him to learn the offense).

And if you can explain the greatness of Mack Brown as a coach, despite the fact that he collects top 5 recruiting classes like my wife collects shoes, yet has massively underachieved of late I'm all ears. And if you say they are "young" you might get a small backlash from TN fans.
