Has oci spewed anymore info on the sirmon/wilcox distaste for texas stuff? I hope Santos just realizes that tejas is just a mix of Tennesseans and mexicans anyway. Tell him to come to the home of his grandparents.

Much to my chagrin no. I thought this thread would explode after those comments.

I thought Sirmon may get involved with Santos after the recent developments. Santos would NEVER play in the Pac 12, so I am sure Sarkisian would not have a problem with this...

Well the pac 12 doesn't really strike me as a D conference.

Whatever decision Santos makes, I wish him luck. I have no animosity toward him if he chooses texas. I hope he, as an individual, succeeds. But I hate texas. They think they know what football is, but they have no clue. They produce great high school talent, but the university of texas is nothing more than a neutered bovine playing in a watered down conference that they push around to get their way. The whole longhorn network thing is a joke. If I'm watching football, I want to see real football. If you want to be the best, play the best. I would love to see teams like USC, Oregon, and texas play in the SEC for one season. Just one season would be enough to show why the SEC is THE dominant football conference. Maybe that sounds arrogant on my part, but this is the shark tank and every other conference is nothing more than a guppy bowl. SEC teams beat the hell out of each other. No other conference can legitimately make that claim.

Sorry, rant over.

On a side note, should the SEC decide to expand to 16, I would love to draw OK and OK St. It would keep the SEC strong and piss off texas at the same time.

It is what it is I guess.

At this point I no longer consider him a UT commit. Hope he surprises me.

If he is, good. If he isn't, so be it. I just hope the staff knows one way or the other so the spot is filled.

Exactly. Tennessee has alot of bigtime prospects right now. Would hate to lose them cause we don't know there is a spot open until 3 pm on signing day. Big time prospects don't wait for that BS.

Claimed that wilcox and sirmon were mad at tejas from last year when they attempted to hire them. Said Santos is being recruited to UT away from texass because of the turmoil. IDK what their issue with tejas is, but he claims sirmon is still guiding Santos some.

The Texas and Wilcox and Sirmon thing has been consistently backed up by any trusted insider on this board. Exactly what was said has never been mentioned just that Brown was arrogant. Now whether or not Sirmon is talking to Santos or not will probably never be known for sure.

Cool, I was just stating what was said and or implied IMO

I didn't want to start an entire thread about this but also don't wanna get off topic here so sorry if it bothers anyone.

I have an NCAA dynasty with the Vols. Now in 2015 and I created Santos as a recruit and signed him. He is in his Senior year and has recored 316 tackles, 29.5 sacks, 8 FF, 4 FR, 3 INT and 1 Def TD in 3 and a half years. And thats simulating games.

Btw... Vols 5-0 and ranked #1 in 2015 with Santos at MLB and two guys named "Berry" anchoring the safety positions :)
