The Butch years really weren’t that bad after all

The Fulmer years were pretty good too.

Greatest Vol you ever saw play or met.

I met Condredge Holloway in '74 when he and some other local athletes and celebrities played in a charity basketball game at my high school. And I met Reggie White in '82 when I was at UT, during an Intramural basketball game against the athletes' team (the Lakers).

    Final Pre-Bowl CFP Ranking

I hate the Gators as much as any VFL, but a 10-3 SEC divisional champ is NOT going to be unranked. I see them hanging on around #24, and I see us either stay at #25 or bump to #23.

When the UGA fans you come across use Chubb as their excuse

Lest anyone thinks the Vols were 'lucky' to win, or the Dawgs 'choked' the game away, let's be clear on one thing.......without a fluke Hurd fumble at the goal line and subsequent 96 yard return for TD by UGA, and if the referee hadn't incorrectly waved off the penalty on the punt return for...

    Student section/ticket buying question...

It's been a loooong time since I was a student, and back then you needed a student ID to sit in the student section, even if you bought a ticket. My question...is that still the case? Or can I sit in the student section if I buy a ticket from Stubhub?

Eric Berry visits brothers in scrimmage on Family Day

Athletes diagnosed with Lymphoma: Mario Lemieux - Diagnosed in 1993 at the height of his prime. Returned to the NHL in 1995, continued to win scoring titles till retiring in 1997. He returned to play from 2000 till 2006, still at a high level of excellence. Saku Koivu - Another NHL player...

    If we go 8-4?

8-4 with a bowl win would be a successful season next year, however I believe we should expect 10 win seasons thereafter.

    Would You Wear These?

I would wear them....definitely on a Saturday in Knoxville, but also in other informal times as well. I gotta ask, how are these any more tacky or inappropriate for a guy to wear than the checkered shorts or overalls I see on campus on gameday?????

    Is Rocky Top out dated?

Correct me if I'm wrong (but I don't think I am), it seems to me that Rocky Top isn't played nearly as often as it was in the past. And I'm not just talking about the days when things were going well......I mean, even back to the mediocre early-80s when I was in school there. I just remember...

Time to fess up.. who missed the end of the game?

I was texting with a UGA fan while watching the game on tv, and when we fell behind by 14 she was telling me 'too bad', 'hahaha', and 'oh well they tried hard'. I stayed positive and said 'There's plenty of time, it's not over yet'. By the time we came back and won, she wasn't answering my...

Got No Problem (Josh Dobbs discussion merged)

So HERE's the million dollar question..... Assuming Worley is healthy next week, do we have a qb controversy? Who starts??

Got No Problem (Josh Dobbs discussion merged)

The offensive line is looking better because of Dobbs' mobility and threat to run...the defensive line can't simply pin their ears back and speed rush past our offensive line.

What does the Tennessee Alabama Rivalry mean to you? (Long)

For me, the Tennessee-Bama game has importance for two reasons: 1. It was the first UT game I even went to, in 1974 (a 28-6 loss), with my dad. Our seats were behind the Bama section, so of course I heard their fight song up close far too often that day. But it was my first time in Neyland...

    Peterman epic chance for redemption

Teams have had success rotating QBs before......why can't we use a Peterson/Dobbs rotation for this game?
