Mario Lemieux - Diagnosed in 1993 at the height of his prime. Returned to the NHL in 1995, continued to win scoring titles till retiring in 1997. He returned to play from 2000 till 2006, still at a high level of excellence.

There are lots of factors that will go into determining if he'll play again. People's bodies react differently to chemo therapy. Those are very harsh drugs that cause lots of internal changes to take place. Odds are certainly on his side, but it's no easy task.

He just needs to stay on track and we'll all do our part and keep him in our prayers.

What's for lunch today fellas?

Eric Berry deserves a standing ovation from any room/facility that he walks into. Guy is a beast on the field, by all indications a great guy off of it, loves to have fun, from a great family, the list goes on and on.

I'm with the army of well-wishers and folks who want the best for EB. I hope that he can come back to the NFL and continue playing at an elite level. It was a treat to watch him play in orange and white.

If I remember correctly EB could have set new NCAA records for INT's and INT return yards with just 1 of 2 more picks and been in the record books.

Sadly the kiffScum family denied EB of those records by keeping him constantly way down near the line where he had no chance to get more picks.

All hate of that family was earned and well deserved IMO and that 1 recruiting class was a total bust and didn't fill any of our serious needs.

God bless EB and may he return to 100% health very soon!

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

God forbid we put one of the best tacklers we had up to stop the run...

Thanks, brother. I appreciate the insight. Never knew Lemieux had cancer back in the day.
