Do we move up to #22? - Since FLA, Temple, and USC all lost yesterday?

Florida has looked really bad at the end of the season and almost lost to an FCS school so they will probably not be ranked imo. it's a what have you done for me lately committee. Which helps us and is a good reason why we should keep our schedule front loaded.

We get knocked out of the rankings so they can keep florida ranked.

No way! We already saw that the CFP committee showed us love last week placing us in at #25. After the stinker florida put up last night and Temple losing, they would be absolutely stupid to drop us out. Ratings are better in bowls if both UT and florida are ranked. I'm guessing florida 24/25ish, UT 23-24

I hate the Gators as much as any VFL, but a 10-3 SEC divisional champ is NOT going to be unranked.

I see them hanging on around #24, and I see us either stay at #25 or bump to #23.

What worries me is we have really only beat one decent team. We won 5 in a row against reallly bad teams.

Bowling Green is decent...they beat two B10 teams and should have beat Memphis..probably will get to 11 wins and MAC conference champions and be a top 25 team

Schedules can't be loaded with 10 win teams. Are our last five games great teams? No. Are all five "really bad" teams? Probably not. I'm not saying they're all amazing teams, but don't downplay a team because the schedule isn't loaded with 8 win teams. It would be different if we played bad against the good teams on the schedule, but the fact that we hung with the teams that made the playoffs, and crushed a lot of inferior opponents says a lot. This team is good.

Temple and wku ranked is a bad joke, hope we get the highest ranked team not in CFP. The trouble is we lost one game to many, there are no 4 loss teams in the poll. There will be one in the final poll….

I'm not saying Clemson didn't win them all, but a loaded schedule front to back isn't the truth either. Who did UNC beat to get so much hype. I bet UNC would get stomped by OU and Bama. OU and Bama both have a worse loss than any of ours. We have 4 losses 3 of them to ranked teams, 2 of them to playoff teams. We deserve to be ranked.

Florida is 10-3, we are 8-4. Florida won the east and beat us. Can't see us ranked higher than them.

This is what 4 losses get you...

No, this is what 8 wins gets you.

Imagine the alternative, leaving the TV off because we're not going to a bowl game at all after another losing season.

The glass is more than half full, man (8/12ths or 2/3 full, to be precise), stop talking like it's half empty. :)

Four loss teams are rarely ranked.

Two different teams now though. In every sport including college football, they look at how you are playing currently and if had significant injury/injuries to change their opinion of you.

Not true at all. There are frequently 4-loss teams in the polls between end of the season and start of bowls.

And there are often a LOT of them in the polls after the bowls.

UF went into yesterday's game with a back up QB that can't pass and a kicker that can't kick. Even with that set up they still gave Bama all they could handle and beat the spread. Imagine how good we would be if we played Bama with out Dobbs and Medley
