When I see WR's looking back for the ball, and catching it outside their bodies, going up high to get it and holding on, then I will think this is a good hire. Otherwise, I have no idea.
Also, I read on here, that Thig said something behind a recruits Mom's back and she heard the comment, supposedly on an official visit to UT. The recruit was from the midstate area.
After four years of Butch and his coaches, I just can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. I had hopes until this year, but seems like no one is getting the "coaching up" part of UT football. I'm just not excited about this class, or this next season. Hope I am dead wrong.
My two most hated clichés are "We filled our needs", and "We recruited depth". No S*** Sherlock! you get that every year you recruit. Does anyone not get depth and needs when they recruit?
Hubbs said on radio that CPF would be a figure that could bring the UT fragmented family back together. That in itself has some great advantages for him. I would welcome him over a lot of the candidates being talked about.
I agree with the OP. If we were "coaching up" the recruits then I'd be OK with getting mostly 3 stars............but we're not. Yes, we've heard this story before, but we have heard ALL the stories before. You guys are not funny when you try and bash the OP, just showing your ignorance again. A...
The recipe for winning football is very simple. Good coaches and good players. The good coaches teach the good players to block and tackle. Outside of that, it's all window dressing.
I think Shoop is a very good DC. He does need to get some better position coaches, and players to suit his defensive style. When all that happens, we will be in the top ten in defensive stats in the NCAA. Just be patient with him, he's not in complete charge over his D.
