Thig might be a great recruiter, but to say he's a great coach is ridiculous. Yeah..yeah..Jumper led the team in tackles,but after he was blocked 10 yards down the field. He would make a play every now and then,but he can't shed a block. The drop of in developing players from first to second string in huge. Flame away.

No flaming here but to suggest Jumper maybe didn't exceed expectations for his level of talent is uninformed at best. Jumper played very well but because of the lack of lateral movement he's never going to be flashy. I for one am glad we had him. Plus calling all the defensive alignments is HUGE!!!

There's been some rumors that Thig has a problem in the mid-state. Not sure if it is with some coaches or what. Maybe his territory could be changed if this is true. Next week could be interesting.

508 have trust in me we signed a really good LB class. Solon Page has 5 star tools just needs 30 lbs Rock will get him ready. I know some just label all 3 star kids as being equal and average football players. Bembry our 6'3 210 DE he is undersized right now but loves the game and got hurt this year. He is a 100 meter guy very explosive. and in time again after being in Rock's program he will have a chance to be all SEC one day. Riley Locklear OL he was 190 lb running back two years ago. Still runs 4.9 but is now 6'5 290 lbs. Raw at OL play only just beginning to learn. He will be out starting Center in Two years. Those who take shots only again label the whole group but never mention names and know much about them.

Jones would be a complete moron to get rid of Thig. He was the #1 recruiter there for awhile according to an article I read on SEC Country I believe. After everything was said and done he was the #2 recruiter.. even still great news for Tennessee. If Jones could land Hoke.. would be a great hire be good news for Shoop and our defense.

Everything he wrote was taken off of Volnation.Thig is our #1 recruiter and is considered the closer. He's the only one on the staff ranked in the top 25 assistants in the country.

Thig ain't goin nowhere!!! He's by far been the best recruiter we've had since CBJ got hired!

I am all for hiring Hoke as long as it's to coach the DL. I don't want to loose Thig. He is a very good LB coach and is easily the best recruiter on our staff.

Also, I read on here, that Thig said something behind a recruits Mom's back and she heard the comment, supposedly on an official visit to UT. The recruit was from the midstate area.

Well, that is partly due to the fact that Larry Scott is hitting S Florida so hard. If I remember it right, we got 8 instate signees and 7 from Florida.
