Your best option if you don't want to stay downtown would be to get a room near the airport. Most of the hotels near there run shuttles to and from the airport/Marta station. Just hop on 285 South and you won't go too far out of the way.

There is also a new sports bar in the area named Stats. It's located on Marietta Street just a couple blocks from the Dome. I'm assuming it will be packed, but so will Jocks-n-Jills in the CNN Center. I think J-n-J usually sets up a tent outside, so that is a good option.
