Does anyone know of any recent word on which way foster is leaning? Does Drayton effect his decision?:salute:

I think it would be a HUGE mistake for Foster to leave, but it's his decision. I can honestly see him falling to the 4th or 5th round regardless of what that projection says.

I think I'll stick to the NFL scouts for a draft position. Thanks :hi:

i'm not going to lie, i would be very excited to see hardesty starting next year with creer getting a lot of PT. don't get me wrong, i would much rather foster stay, but i am more excited when hardesty is in the game

I really cant see the down side of foster leaving...thats just me though. If he wants to be a late late draft pick then i think he should leave now. I think he will probably stay.

Foster really impressed me this year. I hope he stays, if he goes injury free I think an extra year would help him be a better NFL back. But injury is a concern. Has he got his diploma yet?

So you're more excited when an injury prone RB is in the game? If he starts next year, I will be he misses some games because of injury. Creer hasn't really had any experience besides ST. I would much rather Foster come back and Hardesty and Creer back him up.

I don't think he has his degree yet, and, personally, I hope that Drayton can convince him to stay.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Foster go pro. Then, maybe some of these 5-10 yard gains can turn into 20+ yard gains. If Foster had any speed whatsoever, he would have been mentioned with McFadden and company. I think Hardesty and Creer would be a great 1,2 punch.

Couldn't agree more. While I certainly respect what Arian has done for us the past couple of years, I just don't see a significant downfall in our stable of backs by losing him. Hardesty and Creer are more than capable of sharing the load.

What are the chances of Hardesty playing the entire season without being injured? Creer will be playing a lot and whoever backs hims up most likely.

I'd rather see Foster stay, but probably won't affect his draft position if he stays another year or goes early. Go luck to him.

No way he goes.. Regardless of his grade he would stand a big chance of being undrafted and being a free agent

Yeah, that or he could go around where the NFL draft experts are predicting him to go. Look whether we want to admit it or not, the NFL scouts see something in him that obviously most UT fans dont. Live with it.

What has either one of them done to show they are better backs?

I would think he would stay since he is on the verge of being the all time leading rusher at one of the most storied football schools, but like they say money talks and bull sh!t walks.

whens the final day to announce leaving early? is it the 15th?

He needs to make a decision because of the effects on recruitting. I don't care if he stays or goes. Just make a decision. I would think since he has not made a decision yet he is staying.....

Is their a press conf. scheduled for Mayo, Foster etc... to announce their intentions?

Does anyone know if the NFL projections the players receive take into account other underclassmen in the draft? For instance, does Arian's 2nd round projection account for the likelihood that McFaddon, Jones, Charles, Slaton, Smith, Stewart, Davis, Rice, and Mendenhall could potentially be in the draft and go higher than him.

Volquest reported that there would be a press conference at 2pm today for the rest of the juniors to announce their decisions.

I know Parker said he's coming back...any word on Foster yet?

I would think that if there was going to be 1 press conference for all of them that they will be coming back next year.
