The Vols and the Media

You have to love fans that demand the highest levels of class and decorum from these young athletes and yet continue to show their lack of class when behind a keyboard. A man has basically given his entire adult life to the University of Tennessee, has now had that opportunity taken from him (deservedly), and all we get from some of these clowns is more piling on. When will you let it go? Do you plan on showing up at his funeral, hopefully many years away, and BOO? That would require coming out from behind a keyboard, so I guess not.

Reading into, there is nothing to read into. You could see it. The classy stylings of the Tennessee football team you saw yesterday is a microcosim for the on field failure. No discipline at all.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. We saw pissed players because thier coach got canned. Nothing more nothing less.

As I said in another thread, I hope the new coach borrows a page from Tom Crean's book and makes his first order of business tossing every single player who bought into the Cult Of Fulmer out the door.

You most often have good post even when I disagree with you. But this is kind of silly.

The funny thing was them mouthing at a bunch of 50 year old, 130 pound sportwriters. A bunch of fugazi tough guys. The media should have put on Florida jerseys. The team would have immediately laid down.

The majority of those guys are pushing 250.

Yeah, because I never criticize Fulmer in public.

He's not done. Heck, we'll get three more weeks of the brilliant philosophical musing of Socrates Briscoe and Plato Foster.
Well, I hope the staff has enough wherewithal to tell the players to keep their mouths shut. But maybe not since most will be out the door when the new man is named.

:lolabove: Sad... so sad... but true... so true

with one execption, Eric Berry, who I think got put on the spot by Ramon's incoherent ramblings. EB lays down for no one.

It does seem that our new coach could improve this team by letting some of those with schollies hit the road. But, please save Berry and Jones. The rest have 3 games to prove their worth on the field and not in the press.
