I'm saying it's better than him turning it down and coming out publicly saying the offer he was given and that he immediately turned it down. We're screwed for the next few years regardless.
This is a good point..it getting out that a defensive coordinator at another school and an Air Force coach turned down the offer would have a tremendous effect on the program as a whole.
Actually apparently he said he preferred Texas over Georgia due to the ability to succeed at Texas and his wife loves Austin supposedly. But he said if the Georgia job opens and he's still behind Mack Brown he would leave for Georgia.
Muschamp's agent was contacted and the offer was 7 years 21 million with a clause he couldn't leave to go to Texas when that job opens. Apparently he turned it down immediately when he saw the clause the morning of the 13th. All the rumors after 11 am on the 13th were false except for him...
