Guys, this is as good as we could get. No big coach in the country is going to leave their school a couple of weeks before signing day. If Cut goes out and hires some great assistants this is not a bad hire. Just support Tennessee football, give David a chance.

is true is true, I'm not sure of all tha hate out there, I think this is a good hire. Cut knows how to run a disciplined program, helll look he basically carried Fulmer's ass for years. U want stability, someone that won't cut and run, this is our guy. Better hire than Muschamp or Calhoun in my opinion.

That's funny, he is on the radio right now with Plaster saying it is not a done deal, but they are talking. Still other players in the mix. However I did not like the other names he mentioned.

Every bit of offensive success we had in Fulmer's tenure was due to Cutt. He basically did the same thing with Ainge that Kiff did with JC.

If this is true....I'm good.

Can anyone else see him hiring Fulmer as OC then stepping aside to allow for Fulmer to return as HC and Cut as OC?

Its straight out of a movie I know but it popped in my head and its scary! :eek:

Who u have in mind??? What 'stud' coach would u pull out of thin air? I'm curious to know... I know, let's just invent one shall we? Coach Peyton Majors Neyland is the new coach of ur UT vols!

The fact is no one, but no one (except Kiffin) worth having would leave their school this close to signing day, no one 'big' anyways unless an assitant or OC/DC. Unless its someon like Cut whos leaving Duke (they still got BBall).

Because it's just that easy, huh. Give em the money! Muschamp turned down 3M a year on a promise. Patterson did the same because nobody will ever run him out of town.

Kippy is looking better by the minute...

One a side note, I love the names that have declined or taken other jobs since this started...
