It's just not the job it once was. We offer amazing facilities still, good money, and a wonderful fan base.
The recruiting is difficult, and always has been to an extent.
But the main difference now than is that you're not going up against just Steve Spurrier and the also-rans like Jim Donnan anymore. Guys like Spurrier and Richt are almost afterthoughts now compared to Meyer and Saban. Overall, the league is much better, which in turn makes recruiting that much harder.
To an extent, I think its harder than an NFL job, mainly because of the expectations versus the recruiting difficulties.
