What about the first part of the piece? That all signs are pointing Cut being named HC Friday night.

The question I have is that you don't hear about these guys getting the big raises they should be getting when they decide to stay. Don't tell me we offered him 3.5 and he is going to stay at 1. If thats the case he is an Idiot. Same for Calhoun I don't think he mkes 500k he should get a raise to, but I am one of the smoke and mirrors people. I believe we do have someone big and are going to pay big money. I just don't think Hamilton is dumb enough to hire Cutt. He knows we will be putting tarps in the stands so i does not look so empty. I also belive that Kffin was a great hire and still is it just turned out bad with no one being able to see it coming. Just my opinion.

He was contacted.

I don't believe that he wasn't contacted and they just went for Calhoun and Cutcliffe. I'd bet he was given the opportunity to coach.

I believe media is just sensationalizing and guessing. This is just like before but on hyper drive with Hamilton and Haslem.

If WM wanted a good SEC job then a would have took the auburn job last year because he was their first choice. I don't think it took long for his agent to turn TN down this time.

That's all spin so hamilton can say he was never turned down. It was all done through agents and attorneys.

It's tiring to keep up with this crap. I guess I'm done for the night. Hopefully it's the last night I don't know who UT's coach is.

Muschamp's agent was contacted and the offer was 7 years 21 million with a clause he couldn't leave to go to Texas when that job opens. Apparently he turned it down immediately when he saw the clause the morning of the 13th. All the rumors after 11 am on the 13th were false except for him declining the offer and he was never really interested in the job.

Muschamp's waiting for the UGA job to open in the next year or two---that's really his dream job, not texas. Richt will be moved out soon if he doesn't start winning big. Muschamp will be the top candidate at $4 mil per year.

Actually apparently he said he preferred Texas over Georgia due to the ability to succeed at Texas and his wife loves Austin supposedly. But he said if the Georgia job opens and he's still behind Mack Brown he would leave for Georgia.

I honestly don't think Richt is going anywhere anytime soon.He has been there awhile and has already been having mediocre seasons and yet they STILL keep him around.I believe Muschamp truly does like Texas (or it could be the wife's influence who also loves living in Austin).I do not disagree that he would think hard about a Georgia opening though.Although his set up in Austin is nice with him having no pressure at all making a million per year and just waiting to be head coach in the future.....

I appreciate the fact that he downplayed turning down the Head Coach offer. It's demoralizing to look at the list of people who have turned it down.

This is a good point..it getting out that a defensive coordinator at another school and an Air Force coach turned down the offer would have a tremendous effect on the program as a whole.

This isn't good this close to signing day, not to mention other coaches getting cold feet.

I'm saying it's better than him turning it down and coming out publicly saying the offer he was given and that he immediately turned it down. We're screwed for the next few years regardless.

I agree with you. I think it was classy of him not to go public with the fact the turned down the HC offer.

Does anybody know who to believe in all of these reporting. Man someone could really write a good book on all that has taken place.

Don't believe everything you read right now. There is a lot of misinformation out there right now -- in my opinion. I believe Ctucliffe is the safety net in case Hamilton does not land the big fish he is pursuing. I personally think Hamilton is trying to shock the world on this one.
