Arnett to transfer?

in other words, you are talking out of your ass, as usual

Didn't know that assuming a coach knows more about a player's intentions was doing that. Maybe I should just act like I have inside sources and make something up like UT having interest in Sumlin. Sounds reasonable.

No right answer in a situation like this. No reason to bash or praise. It is what it is.

A fair assessment, unfortunately there are those here who want to lay it all on the kid, while knowing jack **** about the situation. I would rather they take his word for it and avoid PR doom

So pretty much he loves his father but not enough to go to Central Michigan. Why does he have a problem with Central Michigan? In his little twitter videos he sure did like to put on their gear.

he has time to fight this. so why not fight for where you want to go if it's only 12 miles?

You mean John Mcclain? I bet you still know more about Houston sports than he does

Not sure anyone is laying anything on the kid? I'm not bashing him, but he has an opportunity where he can play immediately at CMU. Unfortunately, there are some fans who want to second guess everything Hart and Dooley do while knowing nothing about the situation as well.

Can't remember, but I am pretty sure UT has released players unconditionally before "da lawyer" came into town. Has the university changed its policy since Dooley has taken over, or is this a Dooley policy?

It doesn't matter. It is within Dooley's purview. We have released an official statement, and we need to move on. Quickly. Decisively. Authoritatively. And permanently. This is an area where the fans have no standing and to argue a moot point is detrimental to the goal-- killing the controversy.

Waiting for one reputable UT person who even gave the slightest hint that Dooley was even thought to be fired. If UT wanted Sumlin, we would have gotten him. We didn't.

Again, why would he want to go to an inferior school, both athletically and academically.

If it was me...I give him a release and wish his father well. That is my right answer.

On the other hand, we have pulled a couple of players out of 4* players out of Michigan in two years. There are all kind of reasons that releasing Arnett either one of those schools makes no sense at all.

You can neither praise or find fault in Dooley's decision, IMO.

To be closer to his father, right? And CMU is a pretty dang good academic school.
he's missed the deadline for winter/spring semester. so he couldn't get into CMU anyway. So why not fight to get into a better school if you have the time?

Unfortunately, the media will not report it that way, and no one outside of UT will see Dooley and the department as much better than a bunch of demons

Yeah, he is going to catch flack no matter what he does at this point. He is either going against policy, opening the door for players to walk off cuz college is hard, or he is a villian for keeping a son from reaching the bedside of hs (never really) long lost father who could very well die. That's why he gets 2 million a year. He can have it.

4* players have had interest in central michigan.
4 in 2011 alone.

if the policy is vague how can he go against it?

Did anyone read the letter he wrote about his situation? It's on govolsxtra.com right now. Apparently, he is calling Dooley a douche (at least that's what I got from it)
