You had mentioned about CDD record prior to coming here, although not stellar you have to give the man a chance..if I'm not mistaken wasn't he coaching in the same conference as Boise ST. and Fresno St...both have had a helluva lot more talent than La.Tech, the man got them to 8-5 just last year, plz just give the man a chance, if he doesn't work out then bash him.I thought your point was he had 1 and 2 star recruits.
Agreed, but Hamilton knows what he's doing. He's been doing this awhile now.I don't know if I would agree that Hammy is a genius, but I certainly don't want him fired. I know who is waiting in the wings. Hamilton had a tough job trying to hire a coach under the current conditions, it was a bad situation. I hope he hit a home run here.
Yep. The guy deserves a chance. You had mentioned about CDD record prior to coming here, although not stellar you have to give the man a chance..if I'm not mistaken wasn't he coaching in the same conference as Boise ST. and Fresno St...both have had a helluva lot more talent than La.Tech, the man got them to 8-5 just last year, plz just give the man a chance, if he doesn't work out then bash him.
You have to take your hat off to Mike Hamilton. With all the pressure, he could have taken the easy pick in Cutcliffe, but instead he said the hell with it and went for the win. This is with his job on the line. He made the right decision in picking Kiffin. Although the scrotum douched us over in the end, nobody can say we weren't improving. Mike Hamilton is 1 helluva AD, period.
Dooley has major upside.Other than the last sentence, then I completely agree with everything. I would have been more pissed if he took on Cutcliffe because we know what we have with him. Dooley at least has some upside. I don't like the hire and think he had a panic attack a little, but he tried for a home run.
Dooley acknowledged that if he had stayed with Saban (after being the longest serving Saban assistant ever) and gone to Alabama he would have been more attractive, but he would not have been as qualified.
Dooley is southern, he gets our traditions, he reached out to Majors and Fulmer and said how much he admires Neyland in one presser.
He said his family is excited to live in Knoxville! What a welcome change.
He said he will not be a trash talker...
I am proud of our new head coach and I am proud of our AD.
