I realize the pollsters have their traditions and their quirks, but Tennessee has by far the better SOS of any undefeated team and therefore should be ranked #1. After we beat a ranked Kentucky team, it will be even more so.

Thanks. Making the best of it. Going to try and get some projects done I haven't been finding the time for and will end up cheering from the Tennessee bar here in Charlotte.

Several truths:
She's in pain. I only want her to get better. And if that means missing a mountain weekend and cheering for my Vols in proximity, so be it.
The money is sunk, it isn't coming back.
I can't control life, but I can make the best of what it offers. I'll do my long run here (training for the Philadelphia half marathon next month), I'll get some projects done and I'll relax.
It is still okay to feel bummed by the situation life has offered. I just won't allow myself to pout about it.

FYI...the worst back pain I've ever had was actually muscular...I hadn't been able to stand or walk for an entire day. So we called an ambulance to take me to the ER. They gave me morphine...didn't touch it one bit. Then they gave me a muscle relaxer by IV and I walked out 45 minutes later.

It was surreal because he was already coming off a torn ACL. Such an unlucky player. That injury cost him tens of millions of dollars.

Was it not reported he was holding a bottle of Vodka while being interviewed by the police? You would think if he was knocked down steps then that bottle would have busted at some point and after getting his teeth knocked out the last thing he would be looking for was his bottle of Vodka.

I question how much experience some of you have being drunk or being around drunks. It was known among my friends the first thing you protect when you fall is the alcohol. Your body will eventually heal.

I hope you didn't like powerade beforehand. I've had two (father with relatively early colon cancer) and had no issue with the prep, but I still can't manage to drink white cranberry juice, which tasted just fine before. And that's from a stomach that survived the Peace Corps and medical residency with no hang-ups. The unconscious brain is a funny thing... Pro-tip - do the prep with something you can tolerate losing forever, not something you like the taste of. Sorry I didn't see your previous post early enough to warn you. Congrats on the clean report and the clean, uh, whistle...

I'm very "take it or leave it" on powerade/gatorade. For any sports or soft drinks, I do the zero sugar variety and have never really developed a craving for the sports drinks in that version.

That being said, I did the light blue one and the lime one. So maybe if I get a craving and do have a subconscious aversion, it won't affect the orange flavor which is my first choice (naturally!).

If we lose four of the last five with the team as it stands now then this season would be a failure. Part of the reason 2016 was a failure was because we felt we had a chance to be SEC champs…. Right now, we are talking playoffs so ending up back at the music city bowl(or some other meaningless bowl) would be a huge failure by this team.

It doesn’t mean that we fire everyone or overreact and start a petition. We just didn’t have the season that we should have had. We will have to fix whatever issues came up or we will start to trend in the same direction jone’s teams did.

I don’t believe that will happen…. The future is amazingly bright and we are going to kick Kentucky’s azz!!! Go Vols!

Still disagree, as the season as the whole would still be on par with a successful season. Not talking "from here" just the entire season like Enki was saying from the start..

Or look at the inverse - what if we started 0-7? At that point, even 1 or 2 wins would be a good finish. Now imagine we won our last 5 games. Amazing! Does that make going 5-7 in Y2 a GOOD season?

Right. If we decided 8-4 would be a successful season in June, then fast forward to January and see 8-4 without knowing how the season played out, why would it be a failure? Once we hit 8 wins, preseason expectations are met. Anything beyond that success is icing on the cake.

Yes, team's are only evaluated on the current year and results. SOR reigns supreme. Only question is if they dare anger the BIG10 and push Ohio State to 5 and put TCU in at 4... they could be as high as 2. Ohio State and Georgia just haven't played any of their tougher opponents yet.

One of the scariest moments of my life was me and two buddies as 5th graders looking for frogs and salamanders overturned a heavy rock that ended up being a copperhead nest and they chased us about 50 feet up a ravine before they stopped.

We think it's muscle too. Because when she used a heating pad it actually made it worse and looking online, that indicates muscle. Her pain is in her lower back, likely stemming from her glute or hamstring.
What relaxer did you use? Do you know if there's an over-the-counter version?
