When my hubby and I was planning our wedding back in 2000, we planned around football Saturday’s and chose the open date..

It’s not the open date every year…. Have to think about anniversaries as well.

Mr. Spencer stated that he had been drinking...went to get some items from a vehicle...

Who believes a drunk's statement, and what in tarnation was he getting from a vehicle?? Investigate that, KPD. Dude was drunk and high. The Spencer dude is the villain in this case.

I hope Jalen sues him for his troubles.

His legal stuff isn’t cleared. He will not play.

I guess what bugs me...if you go through due process at what point would ANYONE in their sane mind objectively think this deserved a felony assault charge?

I'm going out on a limp and assuming the drunk guy must have someone in the family with some bread. Gross negligence on the police involved in this one. Take the drunks statement, interview all the witnesses, then follow-up with everyone and interview again days later to see if any stories change or details get altered.

The fact JM got charged so quickly is extremely disappointing...even if he wasn't a Vol just seems like someone decided "guilty" from the beginning.

Oddly enough I don't think that's the case. Local kid who works at CookOut apparently.

Only reason he was charged is because he refused to talk to Law Enforcement.

He's probably been told/coached not to. If something happens, just be quiet until the school/athletics gets involved.

Tank isn't playing while pending charges exist.

That's what I'm reading into it at least. If we're waiting on the case to be heard or the DA to review the case it sounds like that's not going to happen until next week.

No, it wouldn’t. People don’t walk back expectations like that. Even 10-2 would be disappointing now. 8-4 would be a disaster at this point.

Admit it, before the season started, you would have been extremely happy with 10-2. I don't really care what our record is at the end of the year. We beat Florida, LSU and Bama in the same year------nothing is gonna rain on my parade this year

I am so bummed right now fam. Was supposed to be in Knoxville for a game for the first time since Dooley's first year.

But my girlfriend got such intense back pain today that she threw up and nearly passed out. So now we aren't coming. She can't endure the car ride ride.
Please be praying. She's 34 and can barely walk today and we don't know why. She's a runner so it's probably related but doctors don't have solutions yet.

We were supposed to head over this afternoon and had a nice little spot in Pigeon Forge to stay at that now goes to waste.

Anyways, if Vols hang 50+ on the Kitty's and double their score, I'll feel a little better. Go Vols!

I feel your pain. Was set to take my Father to a game this year, his first since the last time he took me at 14. But my truck broke down, and a few days later my wife lost her job. Life gets in the way sometimes and all you can do is roll with it. It will get better my friend. Best wishes sent your way!

He did exactly the correct thing. Do not talk to the police without your attorney present. The guy who is trying to blame him for doing the intelligent thing is ill willed or naive.

Thanks. Making the best of it. Going to try and get some projects done I haven't been finding the time for and will end up cheering from the Tennessee bar here in Charlotte.

Several truths:
She's in pain. I only want her to get better. And if that means missing a mountain weekend and cheering for my Vols in proximity, so be it.
The money is sunk, it isn't coming back.
I can't control life, but I can make the best of what it offers. I'll do my long run here (training for the Philadelphia half marathon next month), I'll get some projects done and I'll relax.
It is still okay to feel bummed by the situation life has offered. I just won't allow myself to pout about it.
