And without the STAGING, the college game isn’t a player in big money and the NCAA can micromanage the glorified intramural remnants as they see fit. They’ll prolly need lawyers with excessive lung capacity. Keep your resume updated. 😉

The NCAA abdicated NIL oversight simultaneous to this ruling for a reason.

I haven’t had a dog sans heart murmur. Presently have 3. Oldest being 17, youngest 11. Both had major surgeries in the last 3 years.

Hot take: I haven’t seen hardly any outrage over Beck’s finger. I think people are giving too much attention to blue checks with 50k followers slightly complaining about it. Awesome moment like Gaulden’s. Just let it stand without complaining about the few that didn’t care for it. Even herbstreet apologized for saying something about Gaulden’s and admitted the passion is good.

My wife just messaged me that he is at PAWs now and she and my youngest daughter are a mess from crying. I pray he finds a good forever home quickly. I has the sads now too.

I think his dad was hired at Virginia Tech then went to CAK in Knoxville. Then I'm pretty sure Pruitt hired his dad and he was let go this offseason.

His dad also had some business doing work in Nashville, Atlanta and I think Birmingham so Knoxville was a good middle ground for them to still be close to Blacksburg.

Exactly my point. There are about 11,000 FBS scholarship football players in the country. If only 5% sued that would be 550 lawsuits backed by NIL $$$. It might take the NCAA a billion dollars to litigate those cases.... and they would have to pretty much win them all. The angle that might work better would be legislatures... but then you'd end up with 50 different rules and vast disparity by state. Strategically, it might even cause states to pass legislation disfavorable to the NCAA so that in-state schools could do better.

IMHO, NIL will work itself out to some degree or another. Instead of 4 or 5 teams at the top, you'll end up with 20 or maybe even 30 that can put together a strong enough NIL to get the players to win big. In time, I think you will see more of a "business" rather than fan approach to organizations like Spyre. Those marketing operations will represent a broader geographic region and get NIL's for players for multiple "big" schools.

UT is striking while the iron is hot. That's great and smart. I don't think this advantage will last very long.

Now imagine when NIL organizations start employing their own recruiting consultants so that they represent the best of the best.

Sounds like an engineer's way of doing vet work... very efficient. No need for the facilities, extra staff, and you don't even have to clean up!
