Anyone know the answer to this question…Since we’re an early afternoon game Thursday and winner gets the Mich/Co State winner (they play at 12:15 Thursday) does that mean if we win we’ll play around the same time Saturday (early) or is it random and we could just as likely play at 8pm?
Probably early in the day Saturday since the Mich/Co State is the first game on Thursday. I also have no idea what I am talking about so take it with a grain of salt haha

Edit: They won't come out with the actual times until Round 1 is over

If this were next year, and Coach K were already gone, Duke would absolutely be a 3-seed.

This is what happens when the bottom line runs everything. Bad for the sport, great for the pockets.

One day the pockets will be so fat that the sport(s) will lose what makes it great, but they'll milk it for everything that they can until then.

Joe Lunardi's 2022 NCAA tournament bracket: Hits, misses from myself and the selection committee

MISS: Everyone is all over the committee for not making SEC champion Tennessee a 1- or 2-seed. The top line was never going to happen for the Vols, but most of the comparisons to the other 2-seeds are valid. It's also an area where I would have gone with the Vols if voting my own ballot. Alas, this is my 22nd consecutive year without a vote, and I believed all along the Vols would be a 3-seed. And I have no quibble with Tennessee slotting just behind 2-seed Villanova, which beat the Vols handily in November.
So losing to Villanova EARLY in the year matters in seeding, but beating Kentucky x2 LATE in the year doesn’t?

Got it….

Duke has losses to 2 teams not even in the tournament (FSU & Virginia). Guess those aren't questionable though?

When they write the words “questionable losses” in an article, do they not think it’s their responsibility to look up the losses and see if, ya know, they’re actually questionable?

I mean, not to brag, but we might have the best collection of losses in the country.

If we had Duke’s resume and they had ours, they would be a 1 and we would be a 4.

We’re all going to be laughing at you soon. Again. Looking forward to it.
You're gonna laugh at someone who disagrees with you? Says a lot about you, moreso than I. Honestly, I hope you are right. And, if you feel compelled to act that way, more power to you.

Hope the kid is a Vol. Honesty in grand scheme where a HS goes has no bearing on me invidually. Further, got a lot more going on than to try to have an inside track on the mind of a teenager.

🤣🤣

Lunardi: “My super top secret, strictly confidential, metrics aggregation told me Tennessee would be a 3-seed. But my super super top secret metrics say that I would have them a 2-seed, if I had a vote.”

“But my super super super top secret analytics told me that head-to-head matchups in February/March don’t count for seeding, but head-to-head matchups from November should have Tennessee behind Villanova.”

“Did I mention Tennessee only tied for second in their conference. I am very smart.”

You kinda opened yourself up to it. When you ridicule others for their opinion, prediction or whatever, you deserve it in kind. If he's wrong (which he's not, NI is a Vol), then you can say I told you so. If he's right, prepare yourself for the well deserved ridicule.

Also, spare me the moral high ground of “I’ve got too much going on to pay attention to high schoolers” said by a guy who spends all day in a forum dedicated to high schoolers

Not all day. He has to make time to pull sleds behind his billion dollar houseboat.

And normally I would be over it by now (I mean, this crap happens to us regularly). But every time I hear one these ludicrous explanations, it just re-opens the wound.
I'm the same way. If they didn't address it or talk about it, I would just shake my head and move on.

But then you have these two idiots from the NCAA or whatever committee on CBS trying to actually explain their reasoning. With a straight face! Like they watch more of the sport or have access to some data that none of the rest of us do. Don't spit on me and call it a spray of cologne.

Joe Lunardi too. How can anyone take this guy seriously again? "I knew that it would be like this because it is what it is and this is how it goes." That's all? He stopped just short of saying "Stop asking questions, because you won't like the answers."

Just tell us that you and the room full of idiots you share air with are cut fat checks (or given political advances) to do what you're told to do and say what you're told to say. Just tell us that it's all based on data now to drive profits, and some decisions were made by bean counters and now you have to put a sports spin on it to try to make it make sense.

Money, Power, Access. What do you want? Pick one to play. Pick two or more and you're ours forever.

Shocker!….Jay Bilas has every 1 seed coming out of their brackets and has us loosing to Nova🙄 for anyone that may follow him…he had a 3% correct ESPN bracket last year😂😂 and he’s a analyst
I'd say Volnation has better bracket picks than the "pros". . .

Also, you (yes, you who are reading this) should join and make your picks if you haven't already, it's free and we already have 10 of y'all in the group with brackets made. Plus we need all the help we can get to dethrone @bignewt from his Bowl Mania championship.
Join my group, Go Vols! 4114706, in ESPN Men's Tournament Challenge!

Wait a minute…I thought head to head didn’t matter??? Which is it, Joe?

I think if we come in to the tourney ready to go like the SEC tourney, don't get stuck in any long scoring droughts and improve our shots short range/under the basket, the defining game is gonna be against AZ ... We are a completely different team now from when we played Villanova early in the season and should take care of business...

We find a way to get by AZ, we will take that momentum to the finals.

Cork and Cow is AWESOME. Stayed at The Hermitage there in downtown for our anniversary. We shared the Tomahawk steak, cocktails were top notch, we also split a bottle of champagne, and I avoided the Brussels sprouts like a man who wanted to make love to his wife later on… it worked. Y’all take notes.
But what if you make love before eating?
