I know a bunch of HS kids can’t run anything comparable, just the wing-t is so different. Not saying that Jackson can’t do it, but it is drastically different.
From my amateur eyes, he’s got the arm and talent to be great. I just hope he can adjust to the quick decision making it takes in this offense. Of course, adaptation is always a question coming from HS to college.
Trust the Heup.
Also, there are as many versions of the WIng-T as there are of "Spread". Are they running it out of the gun? Is it option based, power based, or traditional buck/trap/belly? In most cases the passing game is Play Action with a lot of out of the pocket movement. If he's running it out of the gun, he's probably running some RPOs. With all of that, his skill set is much more important than the system he is running.

Thanks! Makes sense.

I think "trust" is more about what the players are doing off the field. How can I trust you to give me 100% on the field or know the play if you're late to practice, missing team meetings, not going to class, or skipping rehab sessions. If I can't trust you to just be on time and attend the things you're required to, why would I trust you on the field?

Talent is great, but I'd rather a staff build a real culture by playing the kids that are doing all the things right off the field.

Absolutely.
You do not reward half azzed behavior as the leader of any kind of team, group, whatever, period.
You keep your expectations with everyone, or they're met by no one.

Adios Mehrven.

Don't worry, gentlemen. I was ready to give my all for Tennessee if the game started to take a wrong turn. We were right behind the bench and while Tiyon may have been out, he was really giving it to the fans the whole game and we had a blast interacting with him. May be a new favorite player. Just needs to stay healthy.

If these guys don't want to be here, better they go ahead and leave.

The only thing is wish they would wait about 6 more weeks. We can't use them toward the new 7 additional signees exception when they enter now.

If attitude and character are the problems, he's probably perfectly aware of that.

After the gunfight at OK Corral, Wyatt Earp moved to Los Angeles. There he was interviewed by a reporter and asked what is the key to winning a gunfight? Earp replied that you have to take your time but do it in a hurry.

On Saturday against the Wildcats, we won the fight by taking our time (13+ min) and obviously doing it in a hurry (45 points).

Conclusion: Josh Heupel is running the Wyatt Earp offense. jmo.

have you seen Tombstone? That was kinda one of the points of the movie. Earp was always well known for being calm, and collected.

Generous liberties were taken with the movie. With exception of the Gunfights at Iron Springs between Curly Bill and WE, and GaOKC.

Was sorta the MO for him going to get his Peacemaker from box. He reputedly didnt carry a gun as a peacemaker in Dodge City. Just his look alone was enough.

What Really Happened to Curly Bill Brocius?

Absolutely everything on paper says we get beat this weekend, but for some reason, nothing more than a gut feeling, we squeak out a W.

We have absolutely no business beating UGA, but I’m feeling a little hope. I’m usually the “realist” who doesn’t think we have a prayer in these games, but there a couple of reasons I think we might be able to make this more interesting than most expect.

For starters, under K Smart, UGA pretty much always has one inexplicable loss on the year. We’re good enough now to be dangerous if they don’t play their best game. I also think we’re probably the best offensive team they have faced thus far. I definitely expect us to score more than 13 on them, but we need our O-line to really step up. Lastly, their offense isn’t great, and I think our d will bounce back after getting embarrassed against UK. Throw in the home field advantage, and call me crazy, but I think we can make it interesting.
