Hard to wrap my head around what's happening in sports right now.

My two-decade-plus championship drought is over with the Braves winning the World Series.

The Titans are 7-2, have arguably a top 5 coach in the league, and are sitting atop the AFC.

The Vols may have finally--FINALLY--found their coach, and unlike the last guy, he seems to actually provide a "decided schematic advantage" via his expertise on one side of the ball.

And of course, Vols basketball and baseball have reached the status of annual conference competitors at the very least with the potential to be championship squads.

It's just amazing to see where my teams are after so much disappointment over the years.
Definitely a good Christmas to get jerseys for the kiddos.

Advice needed - we have 4 tickets in Section S, Row 20. My husband is a dawg and we’re bringing another couple - very very good friends who’ve helped us through some tough times and have been through their own tough times this year. They’re also dawgs so it’ll be me in orange and three people I love in red. Should I introduce them to whoever is around us?
Much respect, I’m married to a Dawg also; just don’t think I could attend a game with 3. Definitely introduce to those around you as you need some allies during the game.

Kind of amazing a kid that's 6'2" and 215lbs seems uninterested in learning/playing ILB when we're so thin at that spot. If he put in any effort he could playing a ton, can't tell me they wouldn't want to rotate in a 4th ILB if they could that has his natural gifts to pressure a QB.
Pruitt probably told a lot of those guys that he recruited, especially on defense, that they are Bama material and inflated their egos tremendously.

Yea if you can’t crack the rotation in this LB room 👋🏻.

Yeah seems him and Butch both were big on overrecruiting kids. We may never have a No. 1 recruiting class under Heupel, but I feel like his straight forward and honest approach will mean the kids that do come aren't looking to just get handed everything.

I love our staff and have almost zero complaints - but if I were to think of one - it’s how I don’t like how they don’t put many kids into the rotation.

In an era when kids are quick to portal out if they’re not playing - you’d think they’d try and make a point to get guys like Joseph or Callaway or Willis or Beckwith or Holiday etc in the game more.

Callaway hasn’t played since Florida. I don’t even remember Joseph taking a snap. Some of our secondary rotation has been weird. Turnage wins SEC DPOW and hasn’t been seen since. No Rucker that I can recall since the blocked punt.

They’re big on “trust” but how many times you have to see Beasley get steamrolled before you decide to give someone else some run?

I don’t know man…. Gonna be tough sledding with these roster numbers for a while. Seriously doubt Joseph is the last promising young guy we see transfer out.
I agree with this except on Josephs. Apparently that kid hadn't been going to class or attending team meetings.

But we should definitely be seeing more guys, especially the young receivers and even whoever we've got at LB. I hope that doesn't come back to bite them

If we were to somehow pull the miracle this weekend I am going to be insufferable. I plan to get banned from all the Dawg boards.
I have often fantasized what I would do if Tennessee beat Alabama. Since I live in Alabama, I think I would put on as much orange as possible and go sit at a bar with a **** eating grin on my face haha.

I've only ever seen 2 episodes and even I don't buy that.
Now, if you had said: "who the "****, ****ing shot ****ing JR? Let's get in my ****ing truck, go ****ing fishing and talk about ****ing someone"..
Maybe.😅

Seriously though, the storytelling seemed really well done to me?
Between my kids and typical drama writers fixation that all real world conversations sound like gangster rap tapings, I'll have to wait 4-6 years for a true take. But other than that, it did seem like it would be really good.

They should let us write for the show.

I think "trust" is more about what the players are doing off the field. How can I trust you to give me 100% on the field or know the play if you're late to practice, missing team meetings, not going to class, or skipping rehab sessions. If I can't trust you to just be on time and attend the things you're required to, why would I trust you on the field?

Talent is great, but I'd rather a staff build a real culture by playing the kids that are doing all the things right off the field.

With all of the coaching changes (blessings for us) and season coming to a close, I think we'll see the portal fill up in a few weeks!

Need a good blend of fresh recruits that continue to build the foundation (please more OL/DL) and some mercenaries on D from the portal. We'll have to get some OL in the portal too for the short-term.

Wouldn't be surprised if we get a speedster WR/RB in the portal as well, Velus Jones style. I don't think he's in there yet, but I bet a 4.3/faster skill player with some experience is destined for Rocky Top.

We should probably get comfortable that this class ranking won't be solidified until summer 2022. Probably not a lot of bragging rights on Early Signing Day or (Regular) Signing Day, but it will steadily rise as we add more, I think.

Surprised UGA been sticking with Stetson at QB. I wonder if JT Daniels will find his way back into the portal next year. Either way mind of nice to finally not have to play a running QB this week and just bring the house

The Dobbs Nail Boot, hail mary, whatever we wanna call it, is the gift that keeps on giving. Because for every time they show their stupid hobnail boot clip on the broadcast for this rivalry, they have to counter it with our hail mary. The hobnail boot is such an overrated call, glad we have uncle Verne yelling "JA-UAN JEN-NINGS! JA-UAN JEN-NINGS!" with Dobbs jump-fist pumping and Kamara on the ground in disbelief.

I just started watching it but to answer your question my money is on Beth. When she got in that tub outside and then got out and was walking in the nude I was like oh yeah! She ain’t the best looking in the face but she has some nice buns.
Reading your answer? I don’t think you’re caught up. 🤨
