Honest question.......curious to hear from people that are more in the know.

Seeing that Jackson is a hard commit, Simpson is still possibly being pursued, and who knows who else......what is the main reason Jackson is such a “great fit” for CJH’s offense? His HS team runs a version of the wing-t, which isn’t known for being fast paced and throwing down field.

I think the biggest selling point is that he's very accurate with the ball and doesn't throw a ton of picks. So it tells you even in a limited passing offense that he has timing and vision.

I pulled his numbers at one point when someone was bashing him, he's only having to take 14 attempts a game at this point. And is pushing out a yards per attempt average over 10 a game.

Such a good dude

Last year they were under 2k total points for the season while averaging 71.9 a game. It seems like a lot, but it's not. Even the 2018-29 year when they were averaging 82 PPG it ended up being 3035 points for the total.

So in the grand scheme of things whoever is pushing that NIL is going to invest less than 5k for the entire season.

Yea, but Fulky's NIL deals are Pal's and Mayfield, so he isn't getting 5 figure deals. But, my guess is that a business agreed to pay whatever the amount is.

If these guys don't want to be here, better they go ahead and leave.

The only thing is wish they would wait about 6 more weeks. We can't use them toward the new 7 additional signees exception when they enter now.

Hey no smart-arse, can someone go into a little more detail on this--- I am not exactly following the significance of waiting the 6 weeks... how does that help us?

His numbers have never concerned me like some others here, I’ve actually defended them as well. My only real “concern” is that the speed of the offense he runs isn’t like CJH’s. He’s got the tools, so hopefully he can adjust.

Yes but looking at our portal players now, Bailey, Mauer, and this guy, unless they remove their names from the portal they won't count toward the additional 7. I don't see them removing their names. It's a screwed up mess. I wish they would remove that stipulation because players that are leaving need time to find a new home and at the same time teams need an opportunity to find replacements. It can really hurt rosters. It also hurts some players as they may not be able to find a spot due to teams not having room.

Its definitely a mess. They need to let teams fill their 85 however they can.

It's supposedly part of the rule of the expanded signing class, up to seven more, to offset portal losses. The stipulation is that to get credit for someone going into the portal to count toward the seven, they have to enter after December 14th. If they enter before, they don't count toward the additional allowance of the seven.

Our goal this weekend should be, keep everyone healthy, but see how many points we can score and how close we can keep it... I believe the most that has been scored on GA so far has only been 13pts twice, so let's see if we can get to 21... We aren't winning this game unless they end up playing their walk-on QB or something like that, so let's just score points...

Another Pruitt recruit doing the disappearing act...I don't get how we had so many of these dudes like Joseph who have soooo much innate quick twitch ability just being so..whatever they are...lazy or apathetic about playing football..
Yep...it is pretty clear that Heupel will only play those that meet a certain standard, no matter how gifted they appear to be. We are becoming a well-coached team.

NOBODY’S offense runs anywhere close to that speed…cept Heupel’s.

Our goal needs to be to WTFA!!!!

Do we crack the top 10 in total/scoring offense by the end of the season?

We're 21st in total offense right now and 15th in scoring offense. UGA game will likely drag those numbers down but then we've got South Alabama and Vandy to pump em back up.

For those wanting to gripe about the O not being good for the D...the O isn't giving up 3rd and forever's, 4th and 24's. D wants a rest, got to get off the field. Period, point blank. Them being on the field for 90+ plays in a couple of games this year has little to no effect from the O; they've had NUMEROUS!!! chances to get off the field, and to the sidelines and rest.

It will come, I believe, with better personnel and depth. Although the D has been frustrating and stressful, I'm still excited about Banks and the D going forward. Even when they're beat or reeling, they're playing so freaking hard, and giving everything they can give. LOVE the effort and attitude, like daylight and dark compared to the last many years (that's coaching)...with personnel and depth, more success will come.

Point being, what's happening on D has little to nothing to do with the O being lights out and fast. Got to get off the field.

Mullen is doing the same thing Butch did. In a panic and paranoia has set in, and reacting by cutting ties with his best friends and guys that helped him get to where he is.

He better make their replacements count, otherwise it's going to end the same way Butch did.
With a huge buy out and a consulting job at Bama for 4 years?

I know a bunch of HS kids can’t run anything comparable, just the wing-t is so different. Not saying that Jackson can’t do it, but it is drastically different.
From my amateur eyes, he’s got the arm and talent to be great. I just hope he can adjust to the quick decision making it takes in this offense. Of course, adaptation is always a question coming from HS to college.
Trust the Heup.

Surprised UGA been sticking with Stetson at QB. I wonder if JT Daniels will find his way back into the portal next year. Either way mind of nice to finally not have to play a running QB this week and just bring the house
Bennett has potential to run it, right? And more so than JT. We had better call an aggressive defensive game and lay it on the line. I’m tired of this base defense, send 3 or 4, play soft zone, and get gashed the whole game stuff.

Stetson can make plays with his legs. Wouldn’t be surprised if he has his best rushing game vs our D
