I found it funny from an ESPN article that was talking about the lack of young talent in Europe. It said the Europeans do have captains and assistant captains for the next 20 years.

You must not watch much European Tour golf. There's a bunch of young talent on that tour. They have 2 Danish twins that are somewhere around 19-20 years old that are really good. One of them has already won a couple of tournaments on their tour. Their problem this year was the age difference between the two teams. Three of their guys shouldn't have been on the team this year--bad picks. Another factor is how the teams are chosen. They get 4 guys from the world ranking and 5 guys from the European tour rankings and 3 captains picks over a two year period. We have 6 qualifiers and 6 picks over the same period but the 6 captains picks are usually the players who are playing great golf just before the Ryder Cup. That's pretty big.

I don't think Berger had won a tournament yet. Which makes it more impressive

Edit: sorry thought it was Berger but it was Scheffler

Yep - Scheffler. Berger has won three tournaments. Hasn't been playing all that well leading up to the RC, but is a tough competitor.

Taking a lunch break right now thinking about the future of UT Football under Heupel. He definitely has an uphill battle, but when he gets the right players I think we will be lightening on offense. And the numbers don't really show it, but our DC is doing really well with what he has.

My biggest concern so far is the WR group. They seem to be having some trouble. Was Burns the WR coach for Heupel at UCF?

If we could get the former Southlake qb that’s now enrolled at ohio state, he would absolutely feast with CJH’s offensive scheme. He could make all the throws. Had a knack for evading pressure and could tuck it and run if needed. I approve of this plan 🤠
That sounds just like Milton :):):):). He can tuck it and run and make all the throws :):):).

I can't say that I follow the European Tour, but the article mentioned the twins and Victor Perez from France. But the article said that these guys aren't yet really primed for Ryder Cup golf, and there is far more young American talent than in Europe.

Not a coach’s fault if an SEC WR can’t catch the ball

Best separation from a WR group ive seen at UT in a while and yes that includes when we had Callaoway, JJJ and Co.

Not Burns fault they can’t catch a cold.

Best thing for the Vols is getting wins the next two weeks… without any major injuries. Then going into the Ole Miss game 4-2 at Neyland which I’d figure would get the stadium near capacity and make it a 8ET kick or so. Really need some wins next two weeks
I would be ecstatic to be 4-2 going into Ole Miss. even if we are 4-4 after Bama. After the bye, we should win 2-3 and finish 6-6 or 7-5.

It's moronic to say anyone player is done when they have only been in a system a couple of months. Milton has the tools to be great. Maybe this will push him to work on technique and touch. Give the kid a chance. Imagine someone giving up on you for not being the best the first opportunity you got.
Its moronic to think that Milton will be great and this is his second system and he looked bad in 2 of them. This is not his first year of football.

First big game the team played all year. I would be worried if CJH didn’t say hey those coaching errors were on me after the game. But guess what he did, he acknowledged those things and said the staff will get better.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Penalties. There weren’t nearly as many back breaking penalties against Florida. So I don’t know what you are talking about there.

Also, if our kicker hits the Field Goal he has been hitting we are tied with Florida at Halftime. If Jimmy Calloway catches the pass on 4th and 5 and gets the first down we score and keep the game within 1 score.

Show me a Jeremy Pruitt team that would of even of had a breath of a chance against the Florida team that just beat us… I’ll wait.

Not to mention our defense held Florida to less rushing yards than Alabama did. We fix our back end at the safety position as well as execute when we are supposed to and that game looks a lot better.

But, you’ll never admit that this team looks 100% different than last year because it is against your Agenda.

People keep talking penalties...I don't mind penalties that are obviously gonna happen with tempo. Our players need to quit with the extra curricular and stupid personal foul penalties. Those are backbreaker penalties

There are very good reasons all the best Euro golfers try to make it on the PGA Tour. The ones that do end up buying homes here and reducing their Euro Tour schedules. If a young gun from the Euro Tour has not yet made it to the PGA Tour, they are sure not ready for the Ryder Cup.

The talent advantage for Team USA is huge now that they care about the RC.

I'm starting to think Bailey is transferring. Heupel just refuses to answer any questions about him when it pertains to the quarterback situation

Yep - takes his COVID, then RS season and still has 4 to play 4. T-Jackson is Heup's guy. Being third team HB knows he's not. JMO.
