scottie sheffler (sp?). was injured and hasn't played a lot, i think that's him, but to a man, most of the guys on that team think a whole lot of him as a golfer. turns out they were right.I had that thought too over the weekend. Most of these young guys probably idolized him and spent years trying to craft their game and competitiveness after him. Whoever that was the beat Rahm yesterday just kind of walking around like "no big deal"...I was like damn that's some cold-blooded nerves of steel.
i think Rory hit it on the head though, for a long, long time the Ryder cup has always meant more to the Euros. probably still does. but i think now, this group, with the way they compete with each other, and have for so long, they're wired similarly, and it matters to be good in the Ryder cup. so the fact that mindset has changed, or is changing, is probalby good for the American team going forward. i hope so anyway, that's some fun golf to watch....much better than stroke play.
