I found it funny from an ESPN article that was talking about the lack of young talent in Europe. It said the Europeans do have captains and assistant captains for the next 20 years.
You must not watch much European Tour golf. There's a bunch of young talent on that tour. They have 2 Danish twins that are somewhere around 19-20 years old that are really good. One of them has already won a couple of tournaments on their tour. Their problem this year was the age difference between the two teams. Three of their guys shouldn't have been on the team this year--bad picks. Another factor is how the teams are chosen. They get 4 guys from the world ranking and 5 guys from the European tour rankings and 3 captains picks over a two year period. We have 6 qualifiers and 6 picks over the same period but the 6 captains picks are usually the players who are playing great golf just before the Ryder Cup. That's pretty big.
