This is my thing as well.

I like Elliott. Seems like a good dude, can recruit, good offensive mind. But he’s working with elite talent.

We need someone who has proven they can do more with less. We aren’t gonna out-recruit Bama, UGA, and prob FL. And we play them every year. Bring me somebody has shown they can take lesser talent and win games they aren’t supposed to win.

But I trust DW and I’ll get behind whoever he hires.

I never said he was a better anything. I just wanted to see if you’d stop tippy toeing around what you really meant. I’m a Saints fan and I like Brady based off of that and learning offense from SP. I have absolutely no issues with Elliot other than he’s never been a coach. But don’t over hype a guy or under hype one based on race, that’s not fair.

People would swoon over joe Brady. His resume is far less impressive than tony Elliot. So what is the issue

Exactly, another reason to like Elliott, Dabo is good at picking out quality assistants. Dabo just keeps the bag handling on track and lets the assitants do their things.

He went 11-2 in 2019 with Ricky Rahne as OC.

Moorehead was fired after 2 seasons at MSU.

Chadwell is a fraud. His 4th year at CSU his team regressed. He had 2 losing seasons at CC. He has one good year in a COVID year and all the sudden he's the best thing ever? A year ago nobody knew who he was. Besides what contacts does he have to bring in a good staff? What in roads does he have to get this loaded 22 in state class?

Besides this season, I don’t see Franklin’s PSU tenure as a roller coaster. Not that I want Franklin I just don’t get that argument. He went 9-4 and 11-2 the first two seasons after Moorhead left. This year 4-5

Same group that helped them find the AD, I honestly think we should all just chill as every candidate comes up. Who we think he is going to hire likely won't be it.

Anybody that thinks that the Parker group was just now hired to help White with the coaching search, i’ve got some bridges and monuments I’d like to sell you.
Make no mistake it will be White’s choice and his alone but that group has been vetting and reaching out to possible head coach hires since last Saturday. There is certainly some school of thought that some of the over the moon targets may have had a role in helping find our A.D. To have the type of program that we want to be you have to have everyone in the hierarchy singing from the same hymn book. We now have that covered from numbers one through four in Compton Boyd plowman and white. Number five will fit the mold. I feel confident in that. Then number five must assemble his team under him in the same manner.
We may have a couple of holdovers in the assistant coach pool that fit the mold or we may not.
Tee and Jay according to what I’ve heard have done excellent work in trying to hold the team together during the firestorm. They are two that may have a chance to stay with the new boss. Maybe Steele too in some capacity.

My argument is look at the people’s opinions of him. You don’t get nfl interest unless you are elite in college. Look at that people the last few years from college that have been on NFL radars.

Joe Brady, Dan Mullen, Ryan day, Lincoln Riley, Matt Campbell, urban Meyer, tony Elliot......

That should tell you all you need to know. It does for me and that’s totally ignoring how fantastic of a recruiter, person, and everything else tony is.

He’s just one of many that we can hire that will do great here.
