Yep it’s funny...... winning coaches come from every area assistant coach, position coach, G5, P5.... same goes for coaches that fail..... there have been some highly coveted ones recently that have failed...

As for innovative offenses..... I remember most thinking urban Meyers would fail bc you can’t run that gimmicky crap in the sec.

We’ll see. Caught up this morning and saw where he nailed stuff in the past. I can see it - but he kind of lost me when he was claiming to know about the Alabama/Texas DC situation and what Saban and Sark were considering. Saban is pretty damned tight lipped. You tell me you know what’s going on in our house, okay.... but what position could the poster hold that he has a bead on what UT/Alabama/UTjr is up to? 🤷‍♂️

Also, I might be hating because I’m not sold on Chadwell.

Landing Steele might help with keeping some of our defensive guys who were recruited to both schools. Maybe helps keep Brooks - but honestly think he’d follow Pruitt to Alabama.

Definitely want to keep Jay Graham. Chadwell could earn some good favor with me if he kept him on staff.

So that poster that shared info tonight...someone dug up some of his older info sharing posts to see if he was legit...looks like he nailed the Chaney hire and the Jancek firing...

Jan 1, 2019 - “Jim Chaney will be the next OC. There is a VQ member who knows and cannot announce so I will do so. Don’t care if you believe but go back a few years and find my announcement regarding the Jancek departure after the Outback bowl. It’s done.”

Just waking up and seeing some talking about Chadwell and his offense. If hired, would he incorporate more pro concepts or wonder if Fulmer would suggest that? I know fans don’t want Fulmer meddling, but I’m sure Fulmer wouldn’t want Chadwell’s offense to cost the team a player like Simpson.

I’m such a homer. Just read this one passage and all of a sudden I’m warming on Chadwell:

“The reason why we like to run the offense that we do, you don’t have to have the best linemen in the country to win games,” Chadwell said. “You don’t have to have the best receivers in the country to win games. Every job that I have had has been a rebuild. We’ve had to develop and recruit talent that fits your system.

“Part of the reason that we like to do the offense, is it gives you a chance to win games. We were probably the eighth most talented team out of ten in our league — and won the league this year. Part of that is because you get kids to buy into your scheme and your system, and they fit that. We can do a variety of different things. Recruiting is not hard for it, you just have to find the right guys that want to fit into what you do.”

This is why I love VN..... potential hire..... covid didn’t allow other teams to prepare for the offense.... our own coach with much stricter covid policies than most of our coach..... no excuses. LOL

the difference here is Chadwell can coach kids up. Pruitt well the proof is in the pudding.

I see a lot of people are acting as if Chadwell runs the triple option. That’s not really close to what they do. Not going to unless he’s hired but if he is........ be ready gonna have to bust out the old overhead projector.

He’s doing what he’s doing because he’s at a talent disadvantage at CC which makes sense. I don’t think he should run that type of offense at UT. You aren’t going to win in today’s SEC throwing 33% of the time

you guys are acting like the BYU game was a success for their offense. It wasn’t


It was their lowest point total all year and they didn’t even pass for 100 yards.

those aren’t kind of performances I’d be discussing if I wanted to argue that his offense could win in the SEC.
