not sure if you been paying attention or not big guy , but outsiders haven’t been cutting the mustard lately. So most of us are ready for someone who actually wants to be here.

I think Dooley and butch wanted to be here bad enough that was the never the issue. All looking for solely insiders does is limit your options and leaves out talented people for something out of their control.

Yep, and THAT is why we're looking at an up and comer. Jamey (if hired) is a great coach, but for his offense to work and his program to flourish, he'll have to let Fulmers advice go in one ear and out the other. If not, this will be 08 Clawfense 2.0.
That's why Phil needs to ride off into the sunset and enjoy retirement....

I don't either. Chadwell is one lower tier guy I do not want to hire, not because I think he is a bad coach, but just purely on his scheme. I have a really hard time seeing it be successful against the big dogs, and I have no idea how creative or adaptable his scheme is.

I would not go off a cliff he we hired him though...better than a known quantity, boring mediocre or worse reject.
This is a valid point of concern.

I never thought Lamar Jackson could run the option in the NFL successfully for more than a year, yet it’s only getting better with time. As long as his scheme can be adapted to use bigger lineman, he’ll be fine. If it requires guys who are under 300 lbs, it’ll never work, SEC D-Line are too big.

Chadwell or Marrone. Pick your poison. It will more than likely be one of the two.

There are videos posted online. One short one was posted a few pages back on Chadwell's. They are not alike. Mahlzah's is gap scheme with eye candy. Chadwell's is triple option/RPO. Mahlzahn's uses standard spacing and o-line profiles. Chadwell's uses wide spacing and mobile O-linemen using angles in zone and man. The same part is they have been designed run first. Chadwell's appears to be a better RPO passing scheme since he has more than 6 total plays in his playbook. Mahlzah's was totally dependent on hurry up for success. Chadwell's can go fast or not.

Man I loved the way they controlled the
clock in that BYU game. Was a work of art.

Yeah..the best SEC interior linemen would literally just throw their blockers backwards. I will always remember Nick Fairley basically singlehandedly crumbling the Oregon offense from the inside out.

I could today, but not back then. However. it worked out ok for me. :p
I went to UT, but went first two years to JUCO. I worked 30 hours a week plus full time school for 4 years. My last 6 months I worked 50 hours a week, I made Bs and Cs those final two quarters. It killed my GPA. Today, tuition is so high. I paid cash every quarter.

So we're

On Chadwell?
