I know people seem to be concerned about the staff Chadwell would bring, but I just want him to bring a staff he's comfortable with and maybe supplement a few spots. If you look at the most successful coaches in the SEC in the last 20 years that's the move. Look at Saban's initial staffs at LSU and Bama and Urban's Florida staff. It's full of guys you know now, but they weren't necessarily household names at the time they were hired.

Bring in who you know, win and recruits will come.

I don’t think that Chadwells offense could work well in the sec, idk bout him quite yet
I don't either. Chadwell is one lower tier guy I do not want to hire, not because I think he is a bad coach, but just purely on his scheme. I have a really hard time seeing it be successful against the big dogs, and I have no idea how creative or adaptable his scheme is.

I would not go off a cliff if we hired him though...better than a known quantity, boring mediocre or worse reject.

Agreed, but if your best QB is Worley, why are you running him at all?

Yea, I agree somewhat. But Worley also didn’t really have a great arm too. It was kind of just who we had at first. I just think about some of the pro QB’s who do occasionally run to keep the defense honest.

Y’all are crazy. Everyone says give us freeze!
Chadwell gives him all he wants in a game and everyone hates him. Chadwell Beat Napier this year who beat Campbell earlier in the year. He is also the coach of the year. He would die for this job and probably work harder than anyone. I am all for giving him a shot. I guarantee he will be better than the last few hires.

I like Chadwell, but he grew up around Knoxville so we could probably hire him if the next guy goes to the NFL or doesn’t work out. I’m sure UT is his dream job, so why not let him prove himself a little more before taking on this massive job. That being said, I do like him more than the NFL retreads and Malzahn.

So? I mean seriously what tf is the obsession with a "Tennessee guy" on here? You could dig up Ghengis Khan and make him coach if he wins games...

not sure if you been paying attention or not big guy , but outsiders haven’t been cutting the mustard lately. So most of us are ready for someone who actually wants to be here.

My only issue with Chadwell is he’s a hit or miss type of coach.

He looks great coaching against the Sun Belt but can he do that against SEC/Future NFL talent?

He may do well here, not saying that, but is it a risk that’s worth taking?

Maybe they bring in Steele to be his DC and some other proven SEC coaches. And let Chadwell run the offense. Keep Graham. I could see that working. Like how Gus ran the offense and Steele ran the D at Auburn.

What you say is so true, but we might not have many options after this mess is over. Sad to say however, Methinks we might be forced to take more risks, just like the previous 4.
