Ok, a question for those advocating or considering hiring Chadwell as the coach, if Pruitt is let go.. Do you believe that Chadwell can lead our program back to competing for and winning some SEC EAST and SEC Championships? Because in the end, I believe that is where all Vol fans want to get back to, and how long do you think legitimately that will take us? I would think 5 - 10 years, depending on if we get any penalties from this investigation that are somewhat significant.
The best hope with Chadwell is that he’d be a bridge hire IMHO. But UT would probably pay him $5M, like he’d already won the East. That’s just what we do.

Like who? If asked, and if not caught up in the current scandal, I could see Jay staying on, but I could see Tee feeling resentful for being passed up. So, other than Steele, what other VFLs are we talking about?
Your right about Tee. Graham and Steele would be enough.

I still think that was one of the first red flags we should have identified with Butch. How are you going to take the all time leading passer in SC and tell him “you’re a running quarterback now because our system is more important than your athletic ability.”

Talk about inheriting a “good enough to win some games” qb and repeatedly putting him in a position to get his clock cleaned.
Infallible/thread!! Lol

Chadwell actually has a personality. I think he’s similar to Bruce pearl. If Gump, Dooley, and butch can bring in NFL players.... absolutely no reason to think Chadwell or really anyone couldn’t do the same. Look how fast butch got our roster where we should’ve won the East
Exactly. Give him a year to recruit this instate class. Gotta think Simpson would be intrigue by the offense and Chadwell’s personality and previous success. Pull Simpson and the rest of the class falls into place. Pull the instate 2022 class...and we’re off and rolling.

From a poster on VQ...

Wait so this out of the blue source has not only a bead on our front office and Pruitt, but also what Sark and Saban are wanting/planning?

I mean.... might be legit but sure does feel like someone trying really hard to draft a plausible ‘script.’

if he said Kiffin/Freeze/Napier at the end I would enjoy the story and believe. As is, Chadwell, naw that post is faker than a UGA Ray skit

There is nothing fake about Ray Uga. Show some respect. He is constantly in danger and his team is top notch.

I actually didn’t think Butch’s system required the QB to run that much- just a few times to keep the defense honest. Dobbs ran more because he was so athletic and not a great passer at first.

Yep. It didn't take long for me to realize it. In fact, the UF game in 2014 was the game I realized he likely wasn't going to make it. The OU and UF games the very next year completely confirmed it.

Terrible example. They don’t play the same triple option at all.

Go back a few pages and watch the CC offense breakdown, UGA DLINE would eat that up in the backfield. I’m all for a younger coach with some swag but unless he has a diff scheme for big boy ball he’s not the answer.

It would be nice to have a coach who doesn’t turn his nose up at instate talent.
