Every coach is a risk, no matter how good they've been, but their past record is generally a good indicator of what they could potentially accomplish. There are no real guarantees. We could hire Urban Meyer and there's still a chance he fails. That’s what I love about Volnation. Doesn’t matter who the coach is, there will be gnashing of teeth and people who are certain that coach can’t cut it at UT. LMFAO.
I know you’ve probably answered this a couple of different times, but how do you think Chadwell’s offense translates to the SEC? With top 10-15 talent?
Like I said, every hire is a risk. I hope I'm wrong on Chadwell if he's the hire, but I see him as a huge risk based off his previous record. And I think there's a lot more proven guys, but I have no idea if they'd have interest in UT, or if UT would have the wherewithal to chase them. It's not like our admin aims very high when looking for football coaches. Then who, in your opinion, is a great hire?
He gets more out of his players than Pruitt ever did with highly rated guys.
I don’t either. We could do a lot worse than someone who was just named Coach of the Year. He checks all the boxes. Offensive coach, does more with less, develops, has good QB play, and is a Tennessee guy.Im not sure why there is hate on the board for Chadwell. Tennessee has proven in the past they can do worse. Much worse.
