Are any of you who are running these guys down taking a pay reduction at your job willingly? These guys have bills to pay just like you.
Edit: I'm not a fan of their coaching btw.
NO they aren’t. Not this year because it’s a PANDEMIC and my company has tried (and been successful) in keeping us all employed. I’ve SEEN it happen at my company and we are a locally owned 60M annual company with over 300 employees. Just because YOU don’t believe it makes sense doesn’t mean it’s not possible!!!Gameday was an expample..hence why I said example...
Apply it to any low level positions with in UT that has a restriction on due the plandemic...all woulf have been released from employment regardless due to lack of need....ie. you dont need 10 janitors to clean 3 classrooms when 1 can do it.....dont need 5 mowers...when 2 can do it....dont need 45 cooks in the cafeteria when your serving 50 kids...it the need for the employees are no longer there why would the university keep them?? So they feel better??
At your job..if your only allowed to sell 50% of what you normally do, your telling me your company is not gonna downsize on then people under you???
Why shouldn't the unnecessary workers that can be cut without detriment to the organization sacrifice for these coaches to continue being paid as promised? The assistant coaches were made a promise, not the at-will employees.
If they are able to refuse per contract terms and are dismissed for refusing, they are owed their compensation for the term of the contract. That makes no sense.I did. I took a pay cut in March to keep my job because our company was going to lose money this year. Maybe it should be served up these the assistant coaches that way.
Not a single person lost thier job due to any restrictions placed on your company????? If that is indeed the case.....the your company is the exception and not the general rule or the impact was not as great...many companies in manufacturing car parts, machine work, have experiancedvl very little layoffs, where as the service industry has been hit hardestNO they aren’t. I think it’s asinine to state that an hourly employee should “sacrifice” so that someone making 1.6M a year can realize their contract rate.
If that is your moral code, em good luck to you.

My wife is a critical care nurse and has not received a raise. She has traveled to the worst affected areas and contracted Covid back in the spring because nurses quit. Keep your weak argument to yourself. If you get paid to do a job its sill ti take a pay cut.Weak argument. I wouldn’t expect, say an ICU nurse to take a pay cut but none of what they do is cancelled or postponed. Why shouldn’t coaches take a pay cut?
In this situation, I value honesty and honoring your word. You seem to value financial status. I think my values are more honorable compared to yours.I think it’s asinine to state that an hourly employee should “sacrifice” so that someone making 1.6M a year can realize their contract rate.

May i ask what companyYes, that is accurate. We ALL made voluntary sacrifices to stay. We are now running at 92%yoy and trending up to close Q4. My personal sales GP are at 96%yoy. AND we have stronger ties within due to fighting TOGETHER thru this. Call it whatever you want, but it’s been refreshing to experience.
Most of these coaches do not make anywhere near that. Osovet barely makes over $200k. What does hourly pay have to do with it? Osovet would not even make $110 per hour under those terms.I think it’s asinine to state that an hourly employee should “sacrifice” so that someone making 1.6M a year can realize their contract rate.
