...and QB coaching. I’m 100% good with giving Weinke his walking papers at this point. i don’t give a damn how well he may be doing recruiting. He is committing coaching malpractice with our QB room if this coaching staff believes JG is the best QB option available to us.If we don't have a qb on the roster better than jg, we have a serious problem in qb recruiting
No, we aren't.
That stat line would win a lot if, some of them completions were on 3rd down and kept theI'm listening to Voluntary Reaction and Houston Kress made a descent point. Here is JG's stat line for the night.
19/31 259 Yards 8.4 YPC 1 TD 1 Rushing TD, 62% Completion Percentage. Zero turnovers.
JG needs to be better if we are going to win big games, but we're supposed to be a defensive-minded team under Pruitt and we gave up 27 points to a bad South Carolina offense and let one wide-receiver consistently torch our secondary.
There is a lot to improve upon. A lot. But our defense needs to be better. That stat line will help you win a lot of games in the SEC if you just play good defense.
Based on what? Why should anyone trust this staff's ability to evaluate a QB at this point?
Again, if the rest of our QB room is worse than JG, and can't make the throws he was missing all night, then we need to replace those responsible for developing QBs.
There is zero excuse for not having a competent QB going into Pruitt's third season.
Don’t believe without questions that he’s the best we have because the coaches start him. That wasn't the point of the post. If JG is the best we have, then we can't blame him for that.
Yes sir, we have done very poorly in QB recruiting. We don't know what we have in Harrison yet due to covid. The other three tho wouldn't start for any team in the sec not names Vandy, Arkansas, and possibly Kentucky or Missouri. That's just the reality of the situation. We really need to sign multiple QBs for the next couple years. If we don't have a qb on the roster better than jg, we have a serious problem in qb recruiting
