Lockdowns destroyed certain sectors.

There’s no doubt sectors are wrecked. I’m just saying without lockdowns sectors would have gotten wrecked. It wouldn’t likely be as bad (because I don’t think the worst case would have ended up being as bad given what we’re learning about the virus) and I think some areas would have already rebounded - but I think it’s worth pointing out that people were already avoiding being out a week or more before lockdowns.

I agree and it emphasizes why I dont believe governors should have been closing things. There are enough wary people in society pre pandemic.

Evidenced here. Nuff said. Liberals destroying America. Again.

85 has TDS so badly that he is detached from reality. Wish he would just take the rest of these morons and go to Venezuala to starve with the rest of the commies. Those of us here with sense will continue to fight for capitalism, freedom, and gun rights. No place here for communists in disguise, seeking to wreck the economy, outright lie ...conspire, commit treason and sedition in an attempt to impeach Trump. I expect mass suicides and emigration when Trump gets reelected...will not happen though because they are pusses...they will just continue to screech, lie, and try and destroy our country from within. Garbage people doing garbage things.
Hi Marcus, hour you and yours are well.

No he won’t. Private property can make him leave if they want to.

You're right, I should have read it; didn't know the store had contacted police.

OTOH, I think the store should be forced to serve him since that is the legal precedent established by the left. If I have to service your gay wedding or sex change celebration, surely you can tolerate a swastika PPE.

A snapshot of how Donald Trump is perceived by other countries during the Coronavirus pandemic... Per CNN.com:

Thomas Gomart, director of the Paris-based French Institute of International Relations, said that Europe was watching Trump's response to the pandemic in amazement, calling his behavior "stranger than fiction."

"He (Trump) provides for us a very mixed balance of amusement and a sadness, which is just not what is expected from a U.S. president," Gomart said, an assessment that Spain's Javier del Pino, a leading journalist, shared.

"The way we look at Trump, it was a lot of fun at first," del Pino said. "It's not funny anymore."
Nobody respects the french( the French have ran and hidden since the beginning of Tim) and a journalist( they are a dying breed and for good reason)

One should be poking holes if he doesn't bother to post how he came up with the numbers.

Arizona health department reports new data on virus antibody testing

The highest reported antibody test results were on April 12 when 29.4% of those administered were positive.
AZDHS reports that 3.7% of the state’s antibody tests have yielded positive results.

The basic numbers back up what he said. I just don't want to math right now. Adult beverage time. :)

Yeah I’ve noticed this in the data for a while. It’s why I’ve said you can’t say “oh the lockdowns destroyed the economy”. No, the virus did. I’m not saying lockdowns didn’t add pressure or keep people home longer. BUT, if virus deaths kept growing, folks aren’t just going to go about things like normal either. Pandemics suck.

Where did the virus come from? China. It came from China. The Chinese Communist Party. The virus didn't just spontaneous appear. The virus is just doing what viruses do. The virus isn't guilty, it isn't evil, it has no intelligence.

People will make decisions based upon their own risk assessment? Do don't say? Omfg.

It's almost like people don't want to die. You know what? They also don't to starve. They don't want to be homeless.

People are a lot smarter than the media gives them credit for. They don't need to be told they're not allowed to buy seeds. They don't need the police called on them for holding hands during a walk with their spouses.

Please don't take my words as directed at you personally. I've said before that I respond to posts that inspire thought. I'm pretty animated at times. :)

Coronavirus: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Nursing Home Scandal Grows

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has won bipartisan praise for rallying supplies for his ravaged hospitals and helping slow the coronavirus, is coming under increasing criticism for not bringing that same level of commitment to a problem that has so far stymied him: nursing homes.

In part-lecture, part-cheerleading briefings that have made him a Democratic counter to President Donald Trump, Cuomo has often seemed dismissive and resigned to defeat when asked about his state leading the nation in nursing home deaths.

“We’ve tried everything to keep it out of a nursing home, but it’s virtually impossible,” Cuomo told reporters. “Now is not the best time to put your mother in a nursing home. That is a fact.”

Residents’ relatives, health care watchdogs and lawmakers from both parties cite problems with testing and transparency that have prevented officials — and the public — from grasping the full scale of the catastrophe.

And they are second-guessing a state directive that requires nursing homes take on new patients infected with COVID-19 — an order they say accelerated outbreaks in facilities that are prime breeding grounds for infectious diseases.

“The way this has been handled by the state is totally irresponsible, negligent and stupid,” said Elaine Mazzotta, a nurse whose mother died last month of suspected COVID-19 at a Long Island nursing home. “They knew better. They shouldn’t have sent these people into nursing homes.”

Of the nation’s more than 25,000 coronavirus deaths in nursing homes and long-term care facilities, more than a fifth of them — about 5,300 — are in New York, according to a count by The Associated Press, and the toll has been increasing by an average of 20 to 25 deaths a day for the past few weeks.

Cuomo is definitely culpable in the senior homes deaths. Insidious decisions to drive up the death toll for federal funding.

Michigan State Rep Demands Gretchen Whitmer Investigate Faked Coronavirus Testing Line

Michigan state Rep. Steve Johnson is calling on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to investigate a fake line of patients waiting to be tested for coronavirus in a CBS News report.

Writing May 8, Johnson said, “I am calling on you today to instruct the necessary agencies in the State of Michigan to open a formal investigation into the incident that took place at Cherry Health.”
On Wednesday, Project Veritas published a report claiming CBS News and Cherry Health had staged a fake line of cars to appear as though there were demand for coronavirus testing.

“Apparently the news crew wanted more people in the line because they knew it was scheduled,” an individual identified as Nick Ross said in the Project Veritas report.

“We knew they were coming,” an unnamed registered nurse said in the video. “We had no clue that we were going to have to, like, do fake patients.”

In the Project Veritas undercover video, staffers said they “pretended” to test patients for the CBS crew to film.

The news outlet denied any knowledge of the false report, instead pointing the finger at Cherry Health.

Tasha Blackman, CEO of the organization, denied any knowledge either.

“Though the Project Veritas report claims the CBS video showing a line of cars was staged; to my knowledge CBS This Morning did not stage any part of their visit, and I did not instruct any of our staff to get in their cars as part of the line of vehicles,” she said, WWMT reported.

An employee of Cherry Health told Breitbart News employees were encouraged to watch the CBS News report when it aired.

“Cherry Health is a taxpayer funded entity,” Johnson noted in his letter, “and as such should receive proper oversight.

“This has only amplified the growing negative national attention Michigan has received.”

Italian Nurse on Coronavirus Frontline Raped by Illegal Migrant After Her Shift

An Italian nurse working on the frontline against the Chinese coronavirus was brutally sexually assaulted by an African migrant after finishing her shift and heading to her home.

The attack took place in the southern city of Naples last Sunday after the woman left work and was waiting for a bus to arrive to take her to her home to the town of Avellino.

The 48-year-old medic said she was forced to wait an hour for the bus due to the reduced travel during the coronavirus lockdown, and was alone with no-one else around, newspaper La Repubblica reports.

The nurse said the Senegalese migrant spotted her and “climbed over a fence and came towards me. I was immediately afraid, he looked threatening. He grabbed my arm. I immediately thought of a robbery. So, to save myself, I gave him the bag. ‘Take everything, there is money’, I said.”

“He said: ‘I don’t want your money, I have it.’ Then he yanked me and threw me on the ground. I saw my cell phone fly away, he ripped my jacket off me. I understood that it was over for me,” she said.

“He kept saying: ‘ Let me do what I want or I’ll kill you. Stand still and don’t scream. ‘ He was not a man, he was a beast that for forty-five minutes was on me,” she said.

Creepy Robot Dogs Patrol Singapore Parks to Enforce Social Distancing

Robot dogs named “Spot” have reportedly been dispatched to parks in Singapore to remind citizens of safe social distancing measures.

The Straits Times reports that four-legged robot dogs will be patrolling Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore from Friday, May 8, to remind citizens of safe social distancing measures. The robots, named Spot, will reportedly be patrolling gardens and nature reserves managed by National Parks Board and at parks managed by Singapore town councils.

The robot patrol is part of a pilot trial being jointly conducted by NParks and the Smart Nation and Digital Government Group (SNDGG). The Spot robot will be broadcasting a recorded message to park visitors reminding them to observe safe social distancing measures.

The robot is fitted with cameras, enabled by GoveTech-developed video analytics, that will help to estimate the number of visitors at the parks. The firm claims that the cameras will not be tracking park goers or be capable of recognizing specific individuals and will not collect personal data.
