Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Why is it considered such a great thing if infants and children do so well against the virus? That makes it less of a threat in the scheme of things?

Why ? Planned parenthood not getting enough of them to suit you ? You saddened or ticked off that they managed to escape the womb alive ?

What an enormously stupid question you asked. The decent people care for the health and safety of the children and the youth of our country.

Good point I saw raised on a video last night. I'm not so sure we can trust the numbers coming out of New York anymore than we trust the numbers out of China. China may have beeen downplaying the numbers and New York is possibly exaggerating them.

Man those New York numbers are just unusually high for some reason.

I see you qualify your statements with "right now". Someone made the analogy about a meteor on it's way to kill us all. Seemed silly, but if it were true, some might argue it's not a problem "right now".

Be careful what you suggest, because someone will accuse of inciting a panic? Nah, I say screw 'em.

Many of the articles you guys post make it seem like it is an issue, right now. The morgue thing is exhibit A and how many times does the ventilator issue need to be addressed?

I have no issue tracking and making that meteor a concern. What I have issue with is stats overstating its size, speed, and trajectory while making up headlines it is going to destroy the planet before lunch.

Again, the middle ground here isn’t hard to grasp.

Well, your exhibit A might apply to some people on here, but can you take that anecdotal evidence and dismiss it with confidence? I haven't, but I never argued it was a certainty either way.

Has anyone brought up ventilators today? maybe so, but I probably missed it, if so. At any rate, I think everyone understands that it is a priority, right now.

I guess we don't have much more to disagree on that hasn't been covered, at this point, but I do understand what the word impasse means, if not.

Two things:
1) the trucks are because these bodies can’t be just taken to the funeral home as per normal. And the morgue isn’t set up to hold for prolonged periods significant numbers because they are typically moved on to funeral homes quickly.

2) This quote bothers me: “If we are covid positive, we are expected to work for as long as we are asymptomatic. However we cannot get tested unless we are symptomatic,” he said. “They don’t want to test us because, at the rates we are exposed, we are likely all sick and we don’t know it.”

So, how do you know that you’re Covid positive and asymptomatic without a test? And if you’re asymptomatic, are you sick??
