Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Thought somone mentioned it. If not, I'd not assume it was the virus.
Ok..... I went back and read it..... this is what bothers me about all these new paper articles.... it never stated the baby had the virus on that they thought he had the virus.... the headline just stated that it was linked to covid.... the doctor interviewed stated that there has not been a single infant death from covid and that they were going to do an autopsy to determine this infants cause of death..... no symptoms or pneumonia was mentioned in the entire article it is this kind of misinformation that makes it very difficult to find out what the real facts are with this illness.

But it’s anecdotal and pushes the panic, so, you know...panic and what not.

Anyone CAN be a casualty. The simple fact remains your first sentence here applies more towards the elderly and it isn’t close. The numbers show that under the same conditions, this will kill the older patient more.

These silly-a** anecdotal stories don’t say a damn thing to counter the argument that younger people just plain aren’t as susceptible to this.

Yes, yes... I meant everyone panic. There!

In Knox county there are roughly 4 that actually have to be hospitalized because of this and of those, only two are in critical condition, and they are older with underlying condition. Everyone else has been fine, even those with it
I'm cleared. It lasted 11 days. Never got close to being hospitalized. If it was an underlying condition, it is no longer. I'm pretty much back to normal.

Why is it considered such a great thing if infants and children do so well against the virus? That makes it less of a threat in the scheme of things?

They can't be wasting money trivial things like their employees health when it was recently confirmed that the dead scroll fragments they spent millions on are forgeries.
I clicked on the link and the first person wanted customers to sue hobby lobby if they can trace it to their store.... LOL.... it is your choice to go to the store.

Children are always touching sht they shouldn't be, sometimes literal sht... They are a threat just like any other human, arguably more so.

Wash your kids people!

You joke about it, but the danger is it starts to become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and already has in many respects. The articles linked do not do anybody any good.

The middle ground here isn’t hard. Should we quarantine for a couple of weeks until we get a good handle on this? Sure, I’ve got no issue with that. But anybody talking about this going on for months after the data coming in shows this to not be nearly as bad is absolutely nuts.

Ventilators are not an issue right now.

ICU beds are not an issue right now.

Morgue space is not an issue right now.

Anything pushing a narrative counter to this is damaging. These are concerns, and things to track. That’s it, nothing more.

90% of the stories getting posted on here don’t survive the 20 second read past the headline. Anybody posting them should do due diligence. Anybody ignoring the substance of the article to try and make a point ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I see you qualify your statements with "right now". Someone made the analogy about a meteor on it's way to kill us all. Seemed silly, but if it were true, some might argue it's not a problem "right now".

Be careful what you suggest, because someone will accuse of inciting a panic? Nah, I say screw 'em.
