This weekend, the New York Times and the Washington Post published detailed investigations into the financial history Mueller is investigating. While carefully couching the findings within the bounds of the facts they were able to prove based on publicly available data, these reports made it perfectly clear that Trumps business empire is not only dirty, but dirty in a way that leads directly into the national-security threat that produced Muellers investigation in the first place
This is all about money laundering, Steve Bannon told Michael Wolff. [Muellers] path to *****ing Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr. and Jared Kushner It goes through Deutsche Bank and all the Kushner sh*t.
Wow... Just freaking wow. We know why Rudy Giuliani was on Fox News last week telling the world that Trump had reimbursed Cohen for the $130K payment to Stormy Daniels now. That looked like a stupid admission at the time but they knew this was about to get out. They don't want people thinking that a Putin-linked oligarch reimbursed Cohen for the $130K because, well, that could be construed as collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, couldn't it? (the payment of $130K by Cohen to Daniels was 11 days before the election after all)... and of course Mueller has already interviewed this oligarch. Our boy Bob is on the ball!
...and if any of our conservatives ask, "Can you impeach him for this?" Maybe, we'll see.
who knows but the CNN article contains this
It clearly wasn't used to pay Daniels since the timing is wrong.
What a shock that a pathological liar and his minions can't get their stories straight.Probably except that Trump has said that he didn't know of the payment or where it came from, Rudy says he did and reimbursed it, Conway says he didn't except he did later, and now the line seems to be back to Cohen did it, on his own, as he's going broke, without reimbursement.
So I'm going to out on a limb and say that a timing defense to the ever changing story by Trump is not very persuasive.

Cohen got $500k from Russian Oligarch during Trump administration. Victor Vekselberg

Background Viktor Vekselberg, Russian Billionaire, Was Questioned by Muellers Investigators - The New York Times
the $500,000 went into the bank account for Essential Consultants, a shell company that Cohen set up before the election that was used to pay Daniels. Avenatti added that the payments occurred from January to August 2017
U.S. sanctions on Vekselberg have $1.5-$2 billion assets frozen
He's also forgetting and missing the huge fact that Mueller sent that investigation to the local DA.
If it was related to the Russian collusion theory, he would have kept it.
This oligarch?
Emails show Clinton ties to Russian oligarch under investigation
Or this same oligarch mentioned in this article ?

Well, according to Cohen his three clients over the last few years have been Trump, the RNC finance chair, and Hannity.
Hannity says he's not a client. Never billed. Just ocassionally chatted about real estate.
The RNC guy was a one off deal, that's it.
So ....
Who is left and for what reason send him 500k? He's not a client. The money is for something.
You got a non-laughable explanation that does not involve Trump?
Wouldnt this be right in Muellers wheelhouse and the stuff hes looking for?
If it involved Trump and the Russians why on earth would Mueller turn it over to someone else? Isnt this the stuff he was tasked to find?
Good question. I'm thinking it has to do with jurisdiction. The Feds in NY would definitely have jurisdiction over transactions there, or connected to a New York lawyer/business. Mueller I'm not so sure. That's even part of he argument in the Manafort case.
But I'm just guessing.
