I said "not always" not "never". Never say never: unless the question is "when is it a good idea to elect the biggest con man?".
Happens every two years.
Seriously? How many politicians actually hold up their election promises when they get into office? They are all con men and women looking to get the most votes so they can get into office, live the good life of lobbyists and free meals and budget themselves perks whenever they want.
Anyone attempting to get your money or your vote is a con man to a degree. You have to determine the degree to which you're being conned and react accordingly.
I do find people trying to get your vote to be more transparent than the people who are trying to get your money.

Nope.
A con artist (that's gender neutral, right?) usually screws you out of money once by making promises they won't ever keep and you learn your lesson. "Won't do THAT again!"
A politician screws you every 2, 4 or 6 years by making promises they won't ever keep and we won't learn our lesson. "This time it'll be different! Let me bend over again for you..."
This is another area where I disagree with most all posters on here.
I trust government more than capitalism. (I've stated this before, so no one needs to get all indignant)
Not at all. The firing of Comey was an obvious attempt to obstruct the investigation, unless Trump has some other plausible explanation he would like to offer under oath.
The Air Force 1 meeting to concoct a cover story for the hotel meeting with Russians is obviously an attempt to obstruct justice, unless of course Trump has some other explanation he would like to offer under oath.
etc...
