It does. It dictates that you pay taxes and how much, if you don't you can be imprisoned, lose your house and livelihood. When you stop paying a private company all they can do is nothing.

This might be the reason they came across stuff about Cohen and turned it over to New York.

What if this guy's money went to Trump somehow, or was Trumps way of paying Cohen??

Well, according to Cohen his three clients over the last few years have been Trump, the RNC finance chair, and Hannity.

Hannity says he's not a client. Never billed. Just ocassionally chatted about real estate.

The RNC guy was a one off deal, that's it.

So ....

Who is left and for what reason send him 500k? He's not a client. The money is for something.

You got a non-laughable explanation that does not involve Trump?

who knows but the CNN article contains this

The payments occurred at the same time Cohen was trying to build a consulting and legal business after the election and around the time he left the Trump Organization. At that time, he was still Trump's personal lawyer.

Wow... Just freaking wow. We know why Rudy Giuliani was on Fox News last week telling the world that Trump had reimbursed Cohen for the $130K payment to Stormy Daniels now. That looked like a stupid admission at the time but they knew this was about to get out. They don't want people thinking that a Putin-linked oligarch reimbursed Cohen for the $130K because, well, that could be construed as collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, couldn't it? (the payment of $130K by Cohen to Daniels was 11 days before the election after all)... and of course Mueller has already interviewed this oligarch. Our boy Bob is on the ball!

...and if any of our conservatives ask, "Can you impeach him for this?" Maybe, we'll see.
