If you guys want to know the associate AD who leaked, just look for the person who doesn't have a job at 9 AM tomorrow.

If it was Holloway and they fire him, then we need to pitch a fit the likes of witch has never been seen. One that would make today seem tame by comparison.

Ayo ....

"One thought about Schiano mess at Tennessee: You would think campus leaders would take a look at past mistakes, plus Pilot Flying J fiasco, and Cleveland Browns (oof) and ask themselves if they really want to keep letting Haslam family influence decision making. It’s not working."

Imagine watching Butch Jones tank this team and then thinking Schiano, who is basically another Butch Jones, could be Butch’s brother but worse, is a good replacement. That guy is your number 1. Tone deaf.

It would have sucked so much just to watch Schiano on the sidelines. Imagine him blowing up on the refs. Would have looked just like Butch out there.

Someone on VQ made a good point when it was going to be Schiano. Said they took something that, while a lackluster product for a decade, was still fun and turned it into something that was morally and ethically questionable.

Exactly. I've been a fan since I was five, and for a few hours today I was trying to come to grips with not being able to cheer for the Vols for years. I never would have imagined it could come to that

I think this could be a shift. This may be rock bottom. I think maybe with this cluster fudge, the Haslems start losing some power. Maybe just wishful thinking but I can't help to think they've got dirt on their hands here too.

You know what, I was just thinking, and we all need to take a collective lap for thinking Brent Hubbs was out of the loop this time around and had no idea what was going on.

He consistently named Schiano and we all laughed and hee-hawed about how Currie was able to hide everything from him.

WELP.

This is completely dumb, but why hasn't some AD approaching Kevin Kelley from Pulaski Academy for a college job yet?

I was physically ill. I felt like I was about to give up something that I love.

And I would have

Will Currie be fired?

I don't know what will happen. As I posted on this topic earlier if I had to bet on Currie losing his job I would probably go with no, but I certainly would have to think about it awhile.

The thing is I don't think (I know) Currie didn't go rogue and chase after Schiano on his own. He had the blessing of some very influential people in that decision, and maybe even from what I've been told was simply carrying out the wishes of some very influential people.

Could he end up being a fall guy? I suppose, but I don't think that Currie was out there doing anything without the full backing of some very powerful decision makers when it came to targeting Schiano as the coach.

If this somehow results in a big turning point for us and we rise back to the top, this could be a 30 for 30 one day.

My concern is who can we trust at this point at UT? Is Davenport a dumb witch or is did she truly nix this deal? Who does she answer to- Dipetrio? Where does his allegiance lie? Is he best buddies with Haslam? And does governor Haslam have control of the BOT or can he be overridden on decisions?

Yes.

And maybe Jimmy Hyams too---nah, still can't say it.

(Honestly tho, I do doubt the big Tampa meeting with Gruden actually took place now)

Very true. I called out Hubbs on here for intentionally misleading his paying customers by continuing to float Schiano's name. I was obviously dead wrong, and he was ahead is everybody else.
