Rob Lewis said as of 12:15ET no word on a presser for tomorrow. (This was in regards to a question about Currie speaking to the media.)
You think Currie will be fired?
Also, all these folks talking about national perception and battles and the war and what not...
We've been losing the war for years. We've been d***-punched since 2007. I'm fine spending a few more years getting punched in the d*** for this. Our AD didn't perform their due diligence and the fan base rose up and let their voices be heard. There is nothing more idealistically American than that.
I'm still a Tennessee fan through and through. I plan on attending as many games as is feasible next year to watch whoever they trot out as a coach. I will still live and die on every down like I always have... that's something I wasn't sure about for the couple of hours today where Schiano was our coach.
UT looks for any reason not to fire people, and they always wait too long to let go of people they're better off without. If there's any way to keep him and hide him away, they will. But this may be too egregious for that. IMO, Davenport would like to kick him to the curb and will, if they'll let her.
Exactly. No matter what happens, it's a win to not feel morally bankrupt from cheering for your team.
Today was a great day. Hopefully the beginning of a new movement within volnation. If this emboldened some of the higher ups that its ok to stand up to the Haslams, then maybe we can enter a second golden era of Tennessee football. But first...#FireCurrieWell this was a ****ty day. Only positive is Schiano will not be our new HC. Tomorrow will be interesting.
