I just don't see any reputable program hiring Butch. ADs will look at the talent he had in '15 and '16 and how it was squandered, they'll look at how many assistant coaches who were decent enough elsewhere just didn't shine on a Butch Jones' staff, and they'll look at stories like Antone's. Who would want this guy? I hope someone does because it would save UTAD some money but I just cannot imagine who is that desperate.

Well we hired Dooley and Butch. Just like i have always said there is somebody out there for everybody.

Number of visits/meetings is per school, correct? They don't reset after a coach/staff is fired/not retained. So anything Butch does now with recruits would hinder/undermine the oncoming staff/coach. Hence why visits are on hold.

Wes Rucker is FOS. Butch is not being allowed to recruit if recruiting is truly his lifeblood. That in of itself is confirmation he's gone.

Yes. Per school.

In my mind if Butch was planning on being at UT next year, or even wanted to be, he would be recruiting like heck.

I am not looking for proof but enough evidence to point me that direction.... I am glad you are sold on Ergen... the one thing that has lead me to thing this could have legs is hearing that Hubbs said he was more involved than normal

I wouldn't say it's a low priority, just something that would instantly be fixed with Gruden announced.

Which is why it is safe to assume that the change happens before vandy due to visits that weekend.

I think the announcements will come before the end of the season. You have to get recruits to witness the atmosphere at Neyland. Making an announcement before the Vandy game brings renewed energy to the fanbase and gets Neyland electric for that Vandy game.

So I'm getting very concerned for a VN member (Charlie Kelly). He has posted at least everyday since Halloween and now nothing. His last post was at the exact same time he left. Again, if someone knows him can you let us know he is ok.

Ergen’s name came about due to some things Beaver said and when Beaver put his location as Mt Everest on Twitter. “Pocket Aces” was deciphered as Ergen loves to play poker. Mt Everest was deciphered as Ergen has hiked part of Mt Everest before.

Beaver has never given a name if memory serves me correct.

Here is my thing regardless of who he is,he must be important and in the know because he's quoted the bet line drop,called out a Adidas rep and let it go be known what a billionaire has done and likes to Do,that donates big money to the university, further more he has Knoxville radio host talking what has came about this whole situation concerning gruden coming to the hill,look at the facts swain,hubbs,Rucker and ainge all said we was losing our minds and that we should give up!..now two weeks later they are talking about the possibility and that there is a chance he comes here...am I missing anything else the beaver predicted that's happened?

When discussing the Mays decommit with Mr. SFD last night, we were wondering if Gruden might be wanting a bunch of kids to decommit. That way he gets to go pick his own instead of dealing with all the offers that have already been made.

I think the basic reasoning is sound here. HOWEVER, I don't think it would apply to Cade. I think any coach worth his salt takes Cade on talent alone.

I understand you and the Mr. had a chance to see him play and were underwhelmed. I have looked at more of his film and would probably err on the side of that being a fluke game. But then again, I'm not a pro at this like Mr. SFD is.

I feel like Sexton and Haslam are pretty tight, at least based on UT's last several coaches.

Could be the reason we hear names like Kiffin iirc Sexton is his agent as well as he is many other names I keep hearing..... ie Mullen

I agree with you. Hubbs plays it close to the vest, and if he says it, I believe it.
