so let's say Frost goes to Nebraska and Mullen goes to Florida

let's just say we BETTER land Gruden otherwise we are gonna be behind the 8 ball and will end up with Coach McGoogleIt

I wouldn’t argue with that

Good thing we will get Gruden

I agree but the point is Not how much money do they have, it is how much do they donate .... we are not speaking of their ability to give but their willingness

I am privileged to know people from all financial backgrounds in my business.... I have found that often those who have the least.... donate the most

I doubt the point I am making is important to the Gruden hire at all...and don't believe it is.... but for me, the jury is still out on Beaver... I LIKE HIM... but am not sure if I TRUST him ..lol

I am all in on Gruden... just not all in on Beaver... There is way to much smoke for there not to be no legs in to this Gruden hiring... I THINK it will happen.. unwilling to give a percentage... but truly enjoy trying to unravel the background.. sorry it I upset or left any believing I am not sold on Gruden to the hill .. I am Fully Sold it is true

PS/ The posts last night by Beaver were at the very least attention grabbers from him and hinted at him trolling ............ jmho

I honestly have non opinion on the beaver guy, not that anyone asked...
Anyway I guess I’ll add to the hysteria a little. Again just information draw your own conclusions. While I was in Knoxville this past weekend I was told that 4 of our boosters had each agreed to 7 figure donations. I was not told who they were and I of course did not ask nor was I told what it was earmarked for.

This.

My thing is if it’s not Gruden negotiations that’s holding the firing of Butch Jones up then what is it?? I mean really what else could hold up firing a guy that’s done all this bogus crap, and is having an historically bad season? If there weren’t things going on behind the scenes he’d be gone already in my opinion!! Either that or John Currie is a completely inept waste of space, and Tennessee will never be relevant again. Why approve a 340 million dollar stadium renovation if you aren’t dedicated to winning football?? Fans are not going to show up if you are an inept waste of space!! So obviously something is going on, and I think the reports of offers to Gruden are legit! I believe that, and if you disagree fine! Don’t sit here and tell me I’m wrong though trolls when you don’t know jacksh** either!!

Can't it be as simple as Gruden doesn't want it to look like he was responsible for Butch's removal? That he knows if. Butch is fired now reporters are going to begin to ask questions of him? He and Butch are friendly and if I was in this position, I would want him to finish.
It makes sense to me but what do I know??

Someone this weekend said he'd had lunch with the Beav's sister at Tremont tavern in chattanooga. I'd say that's as close to an id as we will get.

Yea that's fine with me. Don't need or want to know who he is.

Just curious as to who has discredited Hutch's claim. As far as I know only one person has refuted his claim and that was The Beav.

Whaaaa? I missed this. That's weird. My brother runs in those circles and he's why I get to play the Honors. And we practically live at the Tremont. I need to get my brother to make some calls to his "buddys" and start plying people for info! I just want some sort of confirmation that I'm not crazy for 100% believing all of this.

I DO NOT leave this thread. I've chartered out to the RF a few times to check in on other perspectives. Then I realized most of them aren't the ones who would help you hide the body. I'll stay here with my people.

200w.gif

i've went into the RF and couldn't make heads or tails of anything. you click a thread with a recruits name, and it's got hundreds of posts. no way to keep up or catch up (kinda like gruden threads, but on a smaller scale.)

just seems like no rhyme or reason in there ... just cluttered.

maybe it's just me.
maybe i need someone to take me to the party, and introduce me.

This makes some sense. I also think Currie is of the mindset that the season is completely lost and that they may as well let him finish out the disaster. Lowering the buyout is the reason he's still coaching. I think Currie believes whoever is hired will be able to save and maybe even improve the 18 class. So I believe Currie believes the guy he is targeting is a home run.

That is a substantial piece of information and I like the thought that it is an equal amount coming from four different boosters... screams unity to me....

Solidifies my thoughts ... thanks ... even if it didn't thanks :hi:

Anyone think Cade Mayes leaving vols will force the end to jones a little sooner than planned to try to keep him. I know Cade was planning on being an early enroll at UT if he signed. with early signing this year that would put him in the Dec signing.

personally, i think the recruits are in the dark like most of us.
probably here everything from butch is still here to hang in there it'll be all good ... soon.

i think the recruits are trolling currie.
it's the only card they have.
i just don't think he cares, cause he knows what he's about to do, and that it'll be okay when he does it.

just my opinion.

When discussing the Mays decommit with Mr. SFD last night, we were wondering if Gruden might be wanting a bunch of kids to decommit. That way he gets to go pick his own instead of dealing with all the offers that have already been made.

Maybe it's because of this comment you made earlier. I asked what you meant and you didn't respond. I didn't think you meant Beaver, but I can understand the confusion.

"Actually I believe there is a conflict of interests with those NON-vegas betting odds and a certain poster on this site."

That was poorly worded. I keep seeing those odds posted over and over, but I wouldn't put much stock in them for several reasons.

I'm afraid at this point in time, we'll get no information other than "Anonymous" insiders. To reveal themselves at this point in time would destroy any relationship (if it exists) with the university that they currently have. This info is here. Read it, and decide if you buy into it. Some do, some don't. It is what it is.

^^^^^^^ This.

So I have never dropped any sort of information before, and by no means am I an insider, but I do have one small thing I can share while things are so dead.

I work in the political realm, and a source within my office who knows the Haslams has pretty much confirmed that the power struggle exists. I was joking in the morning the other day about how everyone needs to prepare for Gruden, when that staffer was telling me that not if the Haslams have their way. According to them, the Haslams were lobbying for Petrino or Kiffin. Which I find hard to believe, but that is what I have been told.

I think we have to realize that the reason than Butch is not gone may be the fact that Sexton is hunting his Client a job and they have not come open yet. Im sure Florida is not going to hire Butch and if the rumors are true he might go to South Alabama I dont believe that job is open yet. I think things go quickly after the Vanderbilt game with Butch being let go and another coach hired. The mystery is who that coach is gonna be.
I just don't see any reputable program hiring Butch. ADs will look at the talent he had in '15 and '16 and how it was squandered, they'll look at how many assistant coaches who were decent enough elsewhere just didn't shine on a Butch Jones' staff, and they'll look at stories like Antone's. Who would want this guy? I hope someone does because it would save UTAD some money but I just cannot imagine who is that desperate.

Kids are decommitting because its a dumpster fire here at the moment. Its hard to spin it any other way.
