I don't think that Stoops...Striker and company realize that the team they are going to be playing Saturday is a totally different animal than last year's....

More importance:

A. 2014 UF-UT game. Over 300 former players, around 150 recruits, checker Neyland effect, and the streak on the line.

B. 2015 OU-UT game. Checker Neyland, some big time '16 and '17 kids in attendance, and hell of a lot more at stake than in last year's matchup. Stoops keeps adding fuel to the fire. UT wants to prove they are nationally relevant again. It's year 3 for Butch, he wins this and UT garners some validity and respect.

What do you say?

Lot of good comments on the game.

Some good criticisms too.

I was there. I saw pretty much everything you all have talked about.

Here's my 2 pennies worth.

Our uniforms looked bad ass! :good!:

Good win. I'm looking forward to Neyland this weekend and a win over OK.

It's so interesting to see the difference in perception from a player on the field in last year's game and that of a fan who's watched the Vols develop. The Vol quarterback last year was not quite the same player in the red zone as our starter is this year.

Anyone know if the line has moved on our game? I see OU opened up as a 1 point favorite at a lot of places.

B. Going to the swamp undefeated would be huge. If we drain the swamp then we could be sniffing top 10 ranking when Arky comes to town. That's my orange shaded thoughts.

Should have won the UF game in 2014. But, it's year 3 for CBJ, and he won't be able to stop the high expectations that continue to build. We need to win now. Winning this game would create a ton of confidence in a still young team overall. That's huge going into the UF game and SEC play.

Lines are weird in this game. Currently I've seen -1 UT and -1 OU. One line even has OU -3. I'm not sure gamblers know what to do with this game.

Bruin, your point has been made numerous times...you don't have to continue. Let it go. Barnett, Maggitt, and our other DEs will make sure his visit to Neyland is memorable, but they will be bad memories.

I would've thought during his time off, Bruin would've watched Let It Go at least once since our kids made us watch it numerous times. He is a Vol fan but he is the same old Bruin. :eek:lol:

Not excusable, but I'm 100% convinced our players had an eye and a half on this Oklahoma game, and just kind of walked through prep for Bowling Green, not expecting much of a fight.

Chances of overlooking this one? Nil.

This wknd but that's because we already know the outcome of last years game. It was very very important and a huge letdown at the time but at the end of the day it didn't halt our season or recruiting. So I go with this wknd because of all the hype this offseason. National prime time stage with most homes across country watching. A win Sat night would get everyone's attention that this team is a serious threat. It also could reestablish Neyland and our fanbase as one of the most intimidating places in the nation to play for an opponent. Knox will absolutely go nuts with a win

On that 4th down play, he reminds me of Jacques Smith.

Remember when he would just run right into the blocker? Jumper just went right into the blocker opening up the lane for the back to run right through

Jumper ran into the A gap. He didn't even go to the side the runner was coming.

I just heard the birds going crazy outside, which I have learned means one thing... snake.

Carefully, I open the door, and search the general area they are chirping at, right off of my front doorstep and in the flower bed. Sure enough, I see a snake, brown, so possibly... you guessed it, a cobra.

First thought, "Sweet... just in time for Oklahoma." I step inside, get my shoes and jeans on quickly to provide an extra layer of protection, and get my negotiation equipment. I poked, prodded, and sprayed the area with water, I searched around. For an hour... looking all around my house, and I can't find the dang thing.

I cannot confirm if this was a cobra or not. I will say this, I cannot believe how quickly that thing got the heck out of here without me seeing it. It was essentially cornered, and somehow got away in those brief moments I was preparing for war.

Dang.

Don't you understand the gravity of this extermination? You don't have time for jeans.

We must sacrifice the Cobra!
