Well when there are 6 guys blocking 6 pass rushers, and one of the pass rushers gets a free line at your all conference QB (untouched), you should get concerned. Guarantee you Butch and DeBoard jumped somebody's a** over it.

I doubt Kerbyson was supposed to block down expecting a blitzing backer. That was just a good stunt from the right side. Players get through on those more often than not. Fortunately that left good numbers for a quick flats pass.

I just watched the first half again. One thing I didn't pick up on Saturday was the BG receivers were pushing off. Even the one where mosley was called for PI the receiver pushed off.

I think BB or someone else mentioned that during the game that #4 was pushing off.

I am no football expert, but it's also on the QB to see two LB's blitzing. Dobbs did and got it out quickly. It was a perfect quick pass for the defense.

I was at the game 7 rows up from the defensive bench and our defensive guys and coaches looked calm but also somewhat lethargic. It was a blue collar game and I expect exponentially more energy in Neyland.

@SDS: Oklahoma's Eric Striker was a 3-star LB from Seffner, Florida. The only SEC team that offered him a scholarship was Tennessee.

Concerning the lack of pressure against BG... Did we really even blitz at all, or even stunt?

I don't remember seeing anything much more than 4 guys coming straight ahead.
