Hurd just has to run. You can do that in any formation. QB is a lot more than that. If he can't throw a slant route, there's a huge problem.
West coast offense is actually pretty complicated. Good QBs make it look simple.

Look Bray won absolutely 0 meaningful SEC games. His best win was against a Jeremiah Massoli led Ole Miss team. Casey owned Bama and won both his trips to the swamp and was Donte Stallworth and Travis Stevens fumbles in the SEC champ game away from playing Miami for the NC in '01. This isn't even a discussion. Brays name goes on the men's bathroom wall.

No u dont just have to run. You have to read blocks instead having an assigned hole. You have to hit the hole different to make up for not running downhill.

The complicated part about the west coast offense is timing, not reads

Once again, name the players on Clausens defense and then name the players on Brays defense. Hell, name the offensive players too if u want.

Theres a highlight vid like 8 posts back. Watch the very first play. The guy can throw. Maybe they throw a lot of screens because its hard for HS players to defend them. They are quick easy passes. That doesnt mean you can overlook all of the big throws he has made.

He would fit here just fine. The spread we run can adapt to any kind of QB. Hes not Denard Robinson. He can throw.

Totally not true. The guy builds up such huge news hype to only tell people that he's leaving Florida ( which wasn't new info ). It really turned me off.

Casey had a better defense. Bray had a better o line his sophomore /junior year than CC did his Junior/Senior. After Witten and Stallworth went pro Casey had a set of receivers that probably didn't get recognized on campus.

Both start for the team they backed up for. Pryor already has been traded by the raiders. Teams seem to have less patience for players they didn't draft. I can see Pryor being a Journeyman like Seneca Wallace.

I don't get why some people did not like Clausen. He was a Winner period. Bray is not even in the same discussion as Clausen.

I just read 12 new pages of posts on dis dude and there was nothing new regarding TG. Whats going on here?

Bray had an OL that could only pass block, a RB that tried to bounce everything outside, a phenomenal WR who didnt know his routes, and another WR who sandbagged to get to the NFL. Quite a bit of dysfunction to expect a QB to win with. Yet he still had 3600 yds and 36 TDs.


It helps when you can run the ball. It also helps when u have a coach thy hat can actually develop talent. WRs is the only position you could see marked progression year to year.


The whole team stopped caring what Dooley had to say because he was a loser. It wasn't just Bray that stopped caring.

We're discussing whether to pull TGs offer for irritating Burger, or to move on with our lives and realize its not a big deal.

Only Butch and his staff truly know what they think would work best. They've likely studied these guys more than anyone on this forum could dream of and it says enough that they've recruited both of them equally as hard.

I'm just thrilled enough that we have 2 quarterbacks as talented as Gentry and Gibson that are considering playing for us as much as they are.

Not likely. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes would have destroyed us regardless of the QB. FSU in 1999 were a very good team that would have been hard to beat.
